Omg I feel :barf: now.

Never been so fast, spinning off corners as we overtook the others racing round. I was hanging onto the drivers headrest 🤣 and glad I didn't have my tuna cob beforehand.

This will make sons fast driving seem slow after that experience!

Glad I've done it to say I have , but like my once in a lifetime helicopter ride at the RAF show I'm glad it's over.

Rather disappointed with the 5 minute video I took as passenger in a high speed ride around the race course....
Instead of getting us overtaking past loads of other cars and 'drifting' around the bends at full pelt....I got 5 minutes of my handbag instead as I clung on for dear life 🤣

Still feeling queezy now . (I feel sick on normal swings , this was like being on high speed waltsers!).
Glad I did it for the experience, but I'll pass on any offers of joining son on his 'Hot air balloon ride' that he bought for his (ex) girlfriend and she never used before buggering off back to Portugal.( she's now regretting her decision & wants to come back  ). He paid a lot for it , so going to use it himself . I've told he's not getting me up there......

Youngest and I travelled to Birmingham New Street on the train (and back) I get really bad travel sickness on a train.

Go for it! It's on my (F)Bucket list to do. Along with Para Gliding, Zip lining and a couple of other things.

Son's done zip lining . him and hubby have done the para gliding. They've not got me trying them yet..

Years ago I was so ill on the big dipper in Blackpool that as it crawled to the top I was going to climb out & climb down the structure/ scaffolding (whatever its called). I was sick for 4 days after that!

Just glad I was driving today. If we'd have gone in sons car I wouldnt have been able to face being a passenger for the 100 mile trip. I would have had to walk home, no matter how many days it took!

In Tesco, after observing 2 minutes silence they're now playing Eric Claptons Tears in Heaven. Rather moving and rather eerie feeling in here at moment with everyone still silent listening to it.

Am sure I heard exactly that on the radio, but yesterday?

I'd never heard it before. Had to get my phone to recognise who/ what song it was. Certainly got everyone attention!
They kept playing sad songs after that all the time we were doing our big shop. Had to try to blank them out , hard when it was so loud, or else I'd have had mascara streaming down my face.

I was quite ill on the train back from London yesterday morning, even with a travel sickness tablet the tilting trains cause me havoc. It was nothing to do with the free champagne at the awards I went to the night before...
"the tilting trains cause me havoc" and the tiny windows don't help.

I am now able to walk again.

For the last 36 hours, I have had an increasing problem with my left heel. by this morning it was impossible to put any weight on it at all.

The issue manifested itself as a very sharp stabbing pain, whenever even the slightest weight was put on it.

It was clear that it wasn't, as I had initially hoped, going to clear itself, so investigation of the site was necessary.

This was achieved with great contortion of the affected limb and strong illumination from a torch.

Initially, there was just no sign of anything untoward, but then a very slight glint was observed.

This resulted, with careful application of tweezers, in the end a piece of very fine wire being grasped and the whole length, about 3mm, being extracted.

There is still some residual effect, but that is bearable and should subside quickly over time.

I now feel able to attempt the weekly shop.

In a Belgian bar , celebrating ( well sort of) "The Good News" when Doctor rang hubby with CT scan results. Good news part was it's non malignant....

"Bad news " is its to do with his heart failure causing fluid around one lung & stomach.Being referred to cardiologist for either an op or hopefully just change of meds.
