Can anyone explain why WH Smths still exists?

Surely it’s not another money laundering front like the rest of the High Street?

That bell on the front counter

There’s nowhere to wash your hands !

Imagine who’s pressed that, and where their fingers have been…
Airports and train stations

Rewired the pond electrics, pump has been dead for a while due to water ingress in the supposedly weatherproof box. Means there was lots of horrible water in the filter system, and a dead bird. Got the pump working but one of the hoses split and covered me in stagnant water, lovely.

Now do I clean up and go to town to get what I need, or save myself 1/3 and have amazon deliver it tomorrow?

Last minute decision to visit Weymouth sealife centre this morning. Had a wet walk there as wind too rough for brollies.

Relief to see the entrance as we were rather soaked ......

Then found out you can't just walk in & pay at the door nowadays! 🥺😩

Met by a pirate at the entrance who checked we'd prebooked..... " Errr no"

Told luckily there were slots available, as long as we have a smart phone to go online & book whilst standing at the desk, as can't pay there.

Walked us to his colleague on the desk and told him to guide us through booking process

( is it that obvious we're old fogies and not so quick sussing the phone out 😂)

All the hassle then getting payee verification/authorisation from the bank on banking app etc . Is it a scam? Is it a genuine company ?Do I really want to pay?

Then back to the website to finish booking.
(He'd chosen a cheaper slot option a
bit later than the present time for us, but it still let him then zap the barcode and we eventually get in!)

Would have been much easier and quicker to swipe my debit card !!!

Had a good few hours out though in the end , followed by a sauna and quick dip in the hotel pool ( as hospital have now finally ok'd swimming again 12 wks after my fall. YAY! )

Years ago I was going to buy a ' swimming with sharks experience ' for son's birthday. In the Sealife centre by Cheshire Oaks.
Actually rang to book , but they were still in final process of setting up & told me to ring back in a few days...

Hubby went bonkers when I told him...son never did get to be slung to the sharks 😂

Not so sure my ring doorbell is a good idea.

As well as being woken at 6am yesterday with a bloke pushing a leaflet through door, I'm seeing lovely sunny dry calm weather outside my house. Look out of window here in Weymouth and yet again dark skies and wet & windy :(

Could be worse I suppose. TV weather news just showed snowy conditions just along the coast in Devon.

Decided to be adventurous and try a fish restaurant tonight.

Shouldn't have decided to be adventurous!

Enjoyed my mushroom starter. But hubby ended up having 1 & half main meals , then after my disastrous choice ( for me) of puddings he ended up having most of that as well

Back in hotel bar now , considering ordering one of their pizzas as I'm still starving after forking out £100 for that 'special' meal .

At least we tried it , and hubby enjoyed his ( and mine).
Either hotel restaurant or a chain pub for a Hunters Chicken tomorrow night!!!

And feel better now that hubby demonstrated to taxi driver how he shouts at me whilst driving. Not my driving, as I already knew , then ...

Taxi Driver " I know where I'm going mate , I'm a taxi driver! !!!!" 🤣

Fixed a pressure washer by pulling apart 2 broken ones, feels like an accomplishment but if I was paid NMW for the job it would have been cheaper to buy the replacement parts! Pond wired back up too, filters cleaned, now lets see how long it takes before I can see fish again.
