Not the 1001 then?Of course, as any fule kno, it is the last post on this page that is the 'important' one.
That looks like a nice, brittle lacquer - it should scrape off to a good finish - is the table veneered?Anyone know a place that knows about wood varnishes and lacquers? Our coffee table has seen some damage to the top layer of what Made.com say is a clear lacquer and we need to redo it.
Attached a photo if anyone knows about this stuff as well.

I'm a believer in dyeing the wood to the colour you want (with allowance for the change the lacquer/varnish will cause) and then using a clear finish. It always looks better and is easier to repair.
It will generally darken a little when you apply the finish. Maybe try the underside first, if things are similar there? There’s an idea. Black-ish wood stains and a clear lacquer then?
15 lbs of blackberries picked in 1 1/2 hrs this morning,
that's 5 gallons of wine or 30 bottles, with the 2 gallons
already on the fizz, a total of 42 bottles of blackberry
wine, plus we found a apple tree that's full of fruit nearly
ripe.
Plus the 5 gallons of white currant and gooseberry that's
nearly ready to bottle, it's going to be a very merry winter!
Yep I was right, and 1 of them have just damaged the barrier going into Sainsburys with his van, other side is already broken, leaving the car park wide open for abuse.I may be wrong, I usually am, but I believe there are gypsies/pikeys on the long stay by Sainsburys.
Looks like it was a quick overnighter, hopefully they're out the county by now.I may be wrong, I usually am, but I believe there are gypsies/pikeys on the long stay by Sainsburys.
Bet you say that about all the boys...Looks like it was a quick overnighter, hopefully they're out the county by now.
