It's almost like everyone has forgotten that February was, like, super hot, and it's, like, super hot again now but it kind of should be anyway but it really is kind of super hot and it would be nice to think that this is not some sort of 'exceptional' episode, yet you already know it is.

It's almost like this is extreme weather.

It's almost like everyone is pretending that everything's fine.

Lost my phone somewhere in the house this morning. Seached high and low ( hoping it wasn't getting a bath in the washing machine) and resulted to emailing hubby to ring it. He rung several times and I couldn't hear it. Final time I was in the bedroom when I heard it, but still couldn't see it.
It was snuggled down nicely inside the made bed

Spent yesterday blitzing sons new house whilst he's away in Croatia, took all day to work my way through the piles of bags and boxes that we had just grabbed from his old flat . (Hadn't packed methodically as we just wanted to get it all out in those millions of trips up and down 80 stairs each time before the carpark limit ran out.)
8 solid hours of methodically sorting, cleaning , slinging , and putting everything away ....all done :D He's now got a nice tidy house to come back to , as well as a car washed , hoovered and boot restored to normal .

Slutty flat mate wasn't happy at my unexpected appearance in the flat afterwards, checking for post and any other bits and bobs of sons. But while son's still paying rent and bills up until the end, and still responsible for it, I shall be making my prescence known when I'm down there :cops: (Still got my hoover there, but leaving to tidy at the end of contract in September.....doesn't look like she's used it though , flat was a right tip, stunk to high heaven , and sons emptied and cleaned bedroom now looks like it has had stayovers in there  )

Today is blitz my own house day , I'm in a slinging out mood .....

For some reason I feel like singing ♫Chim Chimeny Chim Chimeny Chim Chim Cheroo ...♪ in a weird Australian cockney accent and wonder if Julie Andrews is wandering about down there in the 'Shire.' :heyhey:

Rather p1sssssed off! Now hubby has finally decided that I was right after all , and we should go abroad for our hols.....

I've let the annual travel insurance policy lapse a few weeks ago on his instructions . Now can't take a new policy out while he's waiting for 2 lots of test results!

GP receptionist won't give them to him , got to make an appointment to speak to a doctor.

No appointments, so can't get to speak to a doctor for over another week yet. (and that's only managing to get a phone appointment )

Watching the plane seats and apartment rooms disappearing fast ..:(

Wigan, is usually quiet at this time if year. Nice pier.

Just arrived at Goodwood, where the weather is fantastic, looking forward to the next four days down here. Must get p jr to get that awning and table and chairs sorted out quick whilst I uncork some wine.

After a week in the Gulag of Immingham, no other holiday will ever be the same again. :P (Even Rockall looks good.)

I remember a programme on the radio years ago about people that had "anti-holidays", that made them appreciate their ordinary home lives more.

One couple had spent a fortnight gutting fish on a trawler off Iceland...

The only time we've been to Wigan (except for my wild teenage years dancing the night away in Wigan Casino ...) was 2 days before hubby was rushed into ACU and ended up with an emergency heart op. Must have been a shock to the system

Compared to Immingham, Wigan is Disney Land, with a bit of Winnie the Pooh thrown in for a laugh … and a dash of Noddy to add confidence. :heyhey:
