Now having a quiet pint remembering Boogie who we had to put to sleep on this date last year :-(

What a difference a year makes but still miss her.

Today, I used a different circuit for the bike ride - it was just too hot to do anything 'serious'.

I went through Castletown - I wonder if this is @Glam's house.

And, a bit further on, I found this very substantial nestbox, although the occupants were just too quick to capture them entering or leaving.

I had my Physiotherapy appointment via phone again today (4th one), he told me I shouldn't sit still for longer than 30 minutes at a time, and I should get up, move around and get a drink.

It's my day off from work, only 7.30pm and I'm *hammered, maybe G&T's weren't the drinks he meant? :xd::pint:

    * I am joking, although the thought was there though....

I can remember getting physiotherapy down the left hand side of the SGI (I think where Curry's is now) following a number of bike accidents over the years that busted some bones. The ladies who worked there were very nice, but I'm sure were descended from medieval torturers that lurked in the deep dungeons of the Tower long ago. (Don't get me wrong, they did fix me ... but it involved a bit of screaming and my shouting out '**** a duck !! ' a few times. :o)

But your physio is definitely my kind of physio ... (runs off to get some more lemons from Lidl.) :buddy:

I feel sorry for the poor physio bloke, I've never met him, my first physio appt was at the Dr's who couldn't fix it & referred me to Greyfriars Physio, but covid happened before my appt.... So, poor physio has had to try & help over the phone, he seems to think I'm about 100 (only half that), but his instructions over the phone are funny, I dread to think what the neighbours think I'm doing.

This is only the 2nd time in my life I've had physio, the first time was after an operation that went a bit wrong, and I was bed bound in hospital for nearly 4 months, I had to relearn to walk, this mostly consisted of physio telling me what to do & me crying, screaming and definatly a good few swear words from me. They're worth their weight in gold though. No pain, no gain.

Fair enough .... some of your physios now start to sound like Arnie in the Terminator movies. The upside, (if it is that) is that you learn new swearwords when a physio is adjusting your bones and muscles. :o

I mean we all need to use new words don't we ? ... (even if it is **** a duck !!! )

Woooo! I had a phone call from The Gatehouse today, we were due to see Henning Wehn in April, but of course it was cancelled...

... The good news is that its back on in September, they did say that they had emailed me in March, but I can't find the email, all in all good news for those that had things booked :D

Lady that phoned said all the ticket details are exactly the same, it's just the date that's changed, so I guess so.
Although after we said the dates are fine, husband did query social distancing. Maybe they're counting on everything being back to normal.

I've double checked my emails, and there's nothing from them since February, just incase anyone else is waiting for news.

I got an email from the Gatehouse to re-schedue the Henning Wehn show on March 19th. It included the following message from Henning:

    Dear Friends Of German Comedy,

You might have expected this email.

I regret to inform you that all upcoming performances of the Get On With It tour have been postponed. For the time being it’s very much a case of Not Getting On With It.

The current outbreak of hysteria combined with the Prime Minister’s suggestion to lock yourself away for good, have sadly left the theatres in no position to remain open.

Every effort is made to reschedule the shows for August/September. Just don’t expect to go to a restaurant before or a pub after the show, as they’ll all be out of business by then.

Ah well, never mind, there’ll always be an England.

Really sorry once again and we’ll meet again. Don’t know where, don’t know when, but I know we’ll meet again some sunny day.

Stay safe and enjoy your time off!

    Henning

LOL, no just took me 55 years at about one every 10 years, I passed my test in 1965 and got into a bedford van the next day, mind you, that only had a mattress in it and a bucket!
