Was hoping for a lie in this morning....
Woke up to find that the other half's trial bike has been stolen!
Theifing bastards!
I've never been robbed before (I've always been suitably paranoid to avoid it)
I am using it as a good excuse for a day off work! xxx

Yes - they're coming out this morning.
It could have been worse - they could have taken more - it's just very frustrating.
We've never had anything like this happen before and its just not nice feeling so vulnerable and useless!

Yeah saw this! I have a time frame, finger prints, next door *may* have cctv - plus ebay, gumtree and preloved are all my friends!
Its a pretty unique bike so will be hard to break/ sell without being noticed...

Is it worth the bike's details being put on here? I once noticed an advert in the paper where the thieves were selling some stolen goods - they had the misfortune to list them in the same order as the victim used every time he had moaned at me about it for the previous six weeks...

Oh TCRL, what a horrible thing to happen to you.
I've only ever had my car broken into once, many years ago, and remember so clearly how sick I felt when I saw the big hole in the dashboard where the stereo should have been!
Good luck in tracking it down and getting it back in good condition.
