The joys of tinkering. Often for tinkerings sake.
You have my deepest sympathies...I ... to Gosport...
I remember when you could get the carbs off without even removing the tank, could do the rattlers on my old Norton also with tank in situ. Happy days.I wish! If it were for tinkerings sake I would have stayed well clear of the job. Problem is the bike has a beam frame, with a deep cross brace just behind the carbs which blocks access to the clamps for the carbs. Last time I landed up using an allen key bit in a ratchet spanner, undoing them / doing them up one click at a time.
Unfortunately the carbs needed stripping down again (jets cleaning out). But I had bought a long (~2') flexible drive which held the allen key bit. Made the outer ones pretty easy to do, and the inners not too bad.
All the best

Fortunate that my current steed has room for a few extra tools (including a tommy bar & 17mm socket), cable ties, tape, tyre pressure gauge, helmet lock etc in a cubby hole in the fairing. A great use of normally wasted space. My old kh100 could be pretty much stripped with the supplied toolkit smaller than a pencil case, my gv125c doesn't even have space for a toolkit!
Happy birthday tiny spawn. Hope she has a great day!Youngest Spawn turns 6 today! She may burst with excitement yet! She's been counting the days down all week (I've sneakily turned it into a maths and time concept learning experience), we had ''party food'' and cake last night so her sisters could share the fun and this afternoon she and Spawn2 are off to the outlaws for the week At the moment though she is still sleeping, I think that's an excellent idea as later I can see this happening
Oh No, poor lola I'm sure (hope) they will sort themselves out soon and start getting along again.Spoke too soon on the rabbit front, fight this morning and lola has a cut nose and paw
