Then to add to my lovely day, starting walking back home got a text that my 'click & collect' order from Asda Home was ready , so toddled off there instead.

Decided to buy my sun-cream from Boots for my hols whilst down there . Got 4 cans of the stuff we were pleased with last time , took them to the tills .... "Sorry, I can't sell you these.Message on till is saying they have been withdrawn as a warning about the ingredients it contains" (Got through 9 cans of the same stuff in June.Maybe that is why we all had bad throats for weeks , and it wasn't the cockroach spray we'd been blaming after all :hmm: )

You've been spray-tanning your cockroaches?
Maybe should have used the suncream spray on the cockroaches instead if the ingredients are that dangerous. Might have actually had some effect on them ! Used a whole massive can of insecticide spray the hotel gave us and the little sods seemed immune to it.

Hit them with the can - that's all that will work.

I can confirm that that method works, as well as whatever shoes are at hand. The spray came in handy to blast them onto the floor as they crawled down the wardrobe from the airconditioning unit, then going on a stomping frenzy as they landed.

Well, looks like it's going to be a bloody expensive holiday! Told to keep his tickets as proof of paying to get re-imbursed , but the ticket machine to exit station is swallowing them all up. He's took photos of the train tickets so just got to hope they accept them as proof :hmm:

On the plus side he's enjoying himself . :)

Ahhh it could be that they are not the 'Factor' that they say they are .....I had told everyone on the 'Avon' thread how good boots mosquito repelling factor 30 stuff was....but then a couple of months (?) ago there was an article saying that the factor was nowhere near what it stated it was....if that makes sense....

...glad sons sort of sorted out.... :)

She said the ingredients in the aerosol spray cans were found to be not good. The pump type bottles ones of the same sort of stuff were still ok to sell, so maybe it's the stuff they use for the spray part of it...wanted those because they went on better than the pump ones we also took last time.

Son back at his hotel and having fun trying out the many toilet controls :D

Arrrrgghhh! I DO NOT HAVE RATS!!!!! Soo the neighbours have a rat problem, in their houses. They can hear them, they have seen them, caught them, killed them. I have not seen one, heard one etc. Environmental health just came out, got off to a bad start as they were 30 mins early, got stroppy with me the moment I opened the door over the large items I have awaiting collection that I had already explained to them were awaiting the councils collection. They then announce they wish to see the house. As she said she wanted to see the garden only when the appointment was made I refused. She was put out but tough, they want to see my house they make an appointment for my house not for the garden then expect all access! Took them around the back and they actually went hunting for rubbish and seemed disappointed that they couldn't find any. Her parting shot was she wants everything out of the porch. WTF? It's a boxed xmas tree, 2 demi jons, a handful of shelf boards and a roll of plastic table cloth. I do believe she can get stuffed!
I've just cleaned out the shed to get at the wheel barrow, no sign of rats up there either. Not even a dropping. Why on earth did she have to be such a bitch? Does she not realise folk are far more co-operative if you are polite and friendly.
I know what's coming, they are even wanting to see the loft. Nothing will be good enough and I'm not sure I can take the scrutiny again. I've got a JRT who is an excellent mouser she'd be going berserk if we had rats in the house.
I did supress a smile as she picked her way to nose up my garden in her at least 2 inch heels and skirt suit. I was also praying she didn't find half a brick that's buried out there and break her fool ankle.
She says she'll be having 'words' with my landlord about the garden, so now he's going to be upset with us too.
I hate life. All because the damn neighbours have rats grrrr.

I forgot until just now...

...this morning MrLittleme found some folded cash on the path outside a business....he handed it in to the business - so if you all know someone who lost cash today, then let them know :) The business has CCTV so it should be easy to prove you dropped it....

@littleme :o No haven't seen much news lately so didn't know about it. He's in a hotel in Tokyo for 8 nights. Think he will be affected badly? Looks like he is on a very high floor from his photos of his window views .He's going to Disneyworld/Disneyland (?) tomorrow (well, about 1am our time). Will have to do a bit of research on the places he has booked hotels in and where he's actually mentioned going on day trips to see where they are on the map.

The video with the reason to evacuate hotels, showing the water rising inside, is rather scary as well.

Looks like it will hit the southern Islands and hopefully :hmm: miss the larger Island where Tokyo is ?

Goes 'up' the map next week to Ibaraki , then' down ' to Osaka and Kobe , before going back 'up' to Tokyo. (Now you can see why my geography teacher hated me!

I'll message him in a bit and warn him about it and make sure he's got his passport etc with him , for if he has to evacuate quick.

What ever am I going to be like if he carries out his plans to work over there , teaching english, after he graduates from uni . Turning greyer after only a day
