Lost one of the rabbits to myxi today. Was fine at the weekend, slightly pink eyes on Monday, today had massively swollen eyes and rear and lumps around her ears. Killed me but had to have her put to sleep, apparently there is a massive outbreak around Stafford and Cannock. Gutted :(
Sorry to hear that @tek-monkey :( Hope other bunny is ok

Nah, massive killer of pets. If a biting insect has bitten an infected animal in the last few months it can pass it on, generally fatal within 2 weeks of the bite. The other rabbit currently seems OK physically after his jab but doesn't like me, he saw me take lola and is lost without her. Could just be the medication, could be the early onset of myxi, but he's certainly not happy with me.

In other news I'm off to Stoke hospital to get some of my lip cut off. May try to catch some stokemon while I'm there, I hear the potteries pikachu can be found early mornings outside off licenses.
Good luck , hope it isn't too painful . :hmm:

Yesterday by now , but.... spent a couple of hours enjoying a conversation with a little robin who was sitting a few inches away from me whilst I was gardening. Must have sounded like a nutter talking calmly away to him/her, but got lots of chirping/singing back :)

Sorry to hear that dude - but if it's any consolation, today was the first day in what must be at least a year, probably more like two, that i've seen a wild rabbit in the Castle grounds in daylight.

Five years ago i would've seen a dozen, minimum, often many, many more, but myxi took its toll and for the past couple of years the population has been massively suppressed.

I'm confident that the Rabbits are on the rise once more. Hopefully, Stoat sightings will commensurately become more common...

wanna see my snake?
Sore! Well, it ain't too bad, I'm certainly better off than the rabbit was. Got 4 stitches on the inside of my lip just where my teeth rub, and as it's swollen rub it does. Nothing a load of painkillers can't suppress though, and give it a few days I should be good as new.

Did I say why? Damaged a saliva gland back in may, it backed up and caused a cyst which has been in a most charming cycle of swelling and bursting ever since. Had it removed yesterday, along with 2 others he also found while cutting. Hopefully be fine now :)

My back has gone on me again. I'm breaking out the tens belt as I don't have time for this nonsense. Amused the family though by sorting the washing with bbq tongs as it was the only way I could reach it all. Not that it would have crossed their minds to help me at all.....

noticed that a giant laundrette machine has been installed at Londis (next to the prison).

Considered joining the queue for Thursday's opening of Primark but remembered I need to sort out the rags from dusters in the outhouse

well I will probably beat the crap out of the mechanic tomorrow morning so court day should be soon after that.
They are replacing the cat and flex pipe in the morning . I don't trust them though . It would have taken a large amount of force to rip the parts off so I hate to think what's happens to the turbo and manifold.
My puma failed it's m.o.t so now carless

Take it somewhere else for an independent assessment
