Went to see Miss Saigon today. Had no idea of the storyline, but it was amazing but I'm not sure it was good for my emotional well-being.

I totally love this show and adore all the songs....I saw it in London in 1990.

Did you weep buckets?

I did. I managed to hold it together before the interval but the end was weepy even before the horrible bit.

My bin has vanished, put it out last night as usual and the bin men emptied it this morning. I went to retrieve it a bit later and no bin. I assumed it was the bin men what took it. :ninja:

Admittedly it was never the same after being involved in the RTA but a new wheel and liberal application of duck tape did mostly sort it out. It has been like that for about three years so why it should suddenly not pass muster is a mystery. :strange:

No paperwork left to say it has been officially written off either. Rang the council and they are replacing it, sometime in the next two weeks.
Ours disappeared within minutes of being emptied the other week. Bin men swore blind they put it back and wasn't logged as being taken or dropped in the lorry. So now got a tiny replacement ( had 2 weeks to wait for it!)
Got suspicions of who could have taken it, as they have one looking suspiciiosly like mine right down at the end of their driveway as well as their tiny new bin. One of these weeks they will put mine back out....Im watching ! Mine was a nice big clean one, and was easy for it to he grabbed at the top of the alleyway and off.....

Sitting looking at the sea from a Paignton seafront apartment :)
Had been worried about new owners recently taking over, but worked out better with them being more enthusiastic. They put on a barbeque last night so that all the guests could get to know each other in their new summerhouse. Free grub,Gateau's, Prosseco, lots of other booze flowing freely . Good company and a most enjoyable evening with not a penny spent !
Then a few steps stagger back to our really comfortable apartment. ( well, apart from hubby headbutting the wall at the side of his bed throughout the night. We are used to our massive superkingsized bed at home with room to get out each side....kept hearing the wall nearly going through all night :lol:

Paint your house number on it in giant figures - worked for me. :)

Waiting for emergency doc to ring me to arrange which surgery to go. Coughed and sneezed at same time and damaged something.

Sounds like a challenge! *

* not a doctor
A can of cider won when we got back, along with paracetamol and ibuprofen it knocked me out for a couple of hours.

Advised to restrict the codeine because of risk of addiction , so will try to stick to lots of booze * to numb the pain !

*booze not actually mentioned by the docs......

Must say the NHS service down here is amazingly rather good!!! They have actually properly looked into my bad cough Ive had for over a month , as well as yesterdays emergency when I could not breath with excruciating pain.

Big worry now though(, seeing hubbys lack of patience when asked to help me, anger at having the holiday ruined, and the pain of being in the passenger with his driving ) is the journey back home at the end of this week as well as getting older and depending on him..

Eldest Spawn and Honorary Spawn pick up the keys to their flat today :D It's very exciting. I'm going with them to help measure for carpet so i'm excited too. Strange thing is it's the flat directly above my first flat. At the time I moved in a couple I went to school with lived there so I spent a lot of time in there. Funny how things turn out.
