Enjoying a drop of red.
Eldest Spawn and Honorary Spawn pick up the keys to their flat today :D It's very exciting. I'm going with them to help measure for carpet so i'm excited too. Strange thing is it's the flat directly above my first flat. At the time I moved in a couple I went to school with lived there so I spent a lot of time in there. Funny how things turn out.

Poison him mildly then treat him the same way, see if his attitude improves.

That's a bit harsh.

They're only getting their own flat...

Enjoy the moving in day @Gadget. An exciting time :)

Hoping for a miraculous improvement to be able to drive home myself in a few days! 8 miles was too much as a passenger last night, so can't face over 200 :hmm: Might have a long walk ....

Shouldn't have gone back to bed earlier, cider has worn off and woke up feeling worse than at 4am . Decided cider has proved to be the most powerful painkiller.

Improvised on the ice pack advised by the hospital ( don't happen to have a bag of veg or similar in the freezer !)... Threw the hot water bottle in the freezer and its done the job :D

Did you enjoying your ' moving son in' day?
They've not technically moved in yet. They just bought paint so we have to decorate, then comes carpet, then furniture. Luckily they have barely any furniture that they don't have to buy so not too bad. Had an interesting time measuring for carpet. Realised after the second room Son-in-law to be (honorary spawn) was measuring in inches but giving the measurement as cm's.

Thanks . Torn some big tendons or muscles or something in my back.
But ruled out pneumonia and my heart.
Got codeine but can't have that with cider!

I did something similar a few weeks back, it was swinging around a leaf blower which caused it in my case.
Did not bother with Doc, just started on the Ibuprofen. It felt like a knife had been pushed in my back, not nice.

Thinking it was on the mend I made the mistake of picking up a telescope mount and set it off again, only worse this time. I am just about back to normal now, after two weeks.

Did you partake of medicinal cider?

@Laurie61 Glad you are on the mend now.

At least now I haven't got the stabbing pain in my chest that was making breathing difficult resulting in the GP sending me to hospital. But just dont know what else to do to relieve this back pain. With this nasty cough , been told got to try to get the rubbish up to prevent pneumonia, and that takes preference over the risk of damaging the back muscle further in doing so. Struggling to cough with the pain, but having to force it to get the mucus up. Need the cough to go away to give the muscles chance to mend. Cough has been there a month, so I give up on it ever going!

But just don't know what to with myself tonight. After coming back from the pub by 8pm , as hubby said he isn't well either, went to bed 10pm. In agony when coughing and lying down, so now been cussed for getting back up out of bed.

Going to be a Long long night ... :(

On a brighter note, used the £5 off food voucher tonight, that we received for signing up to the pubs newsletter. Now just received a free pint of cider voucher as well
