Sitting at a beach cafe tucking into dressed crab and supping Black Sheep Venus & Mars pale ale after spending a couple of hours beachcombing and throwing rocks into the surf for the staffies to snorkle out.

Just need the sun to break through a little more to complete the day :)

Popped over to the Chatsworth Flower show today.
We enjoyed The Chelsea Flower Show a few weeks ago but Chatsworth was in a different league altogether, we just had a glorious day out.
The grounds were spectacular, the scenery idyllic, perfect sunny day, lots of green space, dog friendly, loads of picnic areas, so much to see and do.
We'll definitely go again next year but make a weekend out of it, Derbyshire is stunningly beautiful.

Managed to get an electrician to install some sockets and lighting etc to the summerhouse , as the house recently had undergone a full rewire its apparently going to work out a little cheaper as the wiring and safeguards already in place are up to spec .
Going for underground cabling for a permanent solution cos i cant be arsed to keep trailing an extension lead from the kitchen. all she will need then is a kettle, fridge and mini cooker and wifey can live in there over summer :P

Sorry to bring the mood down in here, but there seems to be a natural need to just want to get this out of there and of your chest.

Went down to visit family on Tuesday on short notice as my mum had been moved to a hospice following two and a half years of battling pancreatic cancer (yes, the one with a 20% survival rate for year 1, she’s a stubborn woman). Had a good family meet there and everyone saw her in time while she was still able to talk to us. She passed this morning at 00:25.

Cancer sucks, by the way.

Sorry to hear that :(
It's great that you all got to see her before the end, I know it's not much consolation right now though.
