After hubby going to bed early after going to sleep in a beach chiringuito ( I'm hoping it was the beer and not my boring company..) now sitting watching the sea on the balcony.

Wondering the last hour or so what the lit up 'dot' is that swam sideways near the beach, and now heading slowly out to sea. Son saw it as well and we have decided it's not a person or a boat :hmm::?:

Lazer pen or sumfink?

Were you not tempted to leave him there on the beach and see if he'd wake up before the tide came in?

Thanks all. Back in Stafford now, it’s been one hell of a few days. We’re just glad she’s at peace now, not in pain.

But yeah, cancer is a dick and needs to go away.

Untethered buoy maybe?

Or someone hoping some poor sap will spend their entire night thinking about it has put a small LED in a watertight container

Some time ago, I ordered a generic Nikon-fit lens hood - it was going to be an import job, but at a value of around a pound, I felt at a low risk of breaching the £15 import extortion threshold. In those circumstances, I seem to have not paid much attention to where it was coming from. Hence my confusion just now at getting what felt like a roll of masking tape in a bubble-wrap envelope from the Solomon Islands...

I also received a parcel from Japan, I did know what that was going to be - it was from a Mr Tomohiro Tanaka, who has behaved with almost comedic caricature-Japanese professionalism and courtesy throughout the whole event - and sold me a product, including delivery, at about half the UK price.

And both spelled my name correctly, which the junk mail that I also got today, from Essex, failed to manage...

Busy putting all the films I've watched off my PC and onto DVD's, now up to disc 130 and not even halfway yet even at 3/4 films a disc, but at least I've got back 500 GB of space so far.

I was at the NEC yesterday at the Good Food and Gardeners World exhibition, I enjoyed the food bit most. I was shattered by the end though, keeping an eye on and doing things for The Mother and my youngest spawn. Came away with some kiwis, a few bottles of beer and a bag of fudge. Listened to a live band while waiting to be picked up, they were quite good.
Then the drama started, whilst helping my dad load my mum's scooter, their dog jumped out of the back and ran off. I give chase, yelling at poor strangers to try to at least slow her down please. During the chase on a grassy bit I put my foot in a concealed hole and go flat on my face. I ended up having to just lie there dazed and winded for a min or two. Prickled all my elbow and left hand. Meanwhile the dog had made her way back to the car but was still giving everyone the run around. Dad finally caught her by using the scooter that she suddenly fancied a ride on. I've told them she needs recall training or she need her lead on before they open doors. It's dangerous for everyone and I'd hate her to be hurt or lost.

I have just noticed that the actual address for my Solomon Islands supplier is Kinky Resort.

I think I can expect Google to misinterpret that for some time to come...

Did the postman give you a knowing look and a wink?

Can't see the road outside now from the bar. Rather eerie sea mist moving in ( nothing to do with Magners ;) )

View from balcony at the moment. Hoping our early morning flight can take off with this thick mist
