Alternatively hunker down at the bottom of the boatnand take travel sickness tablets, you aren't going to be able to pick the sea state when you're booking anything more than a day in advance.Yes, plenty can be discovered on a day trip.
I got to the Atlantic, Bishop and Wolf, Mermaid and Scillonian Club and still had time to see Harold Wilson's bungalow and grave on my way over to the Old Town Inn.
Highly recommended but it's a flat bottomed boat so advisable to go on a calm day and sit on the deck not inside.

If you're going on a day trip forgo the pubs and have a walk further up the island.
Yes, another time maybe.A day trip maybe, but not a few days break.
There's probably 5 or 6 beaches far superior up island.

Did think about the choppy seas ..... brings back memories of vowing never to sail again on a trip over to do the Dublin Marathon. Caught the midnight Sealink ferry , sea so rough they batoned down the hatches and no-one was allowed on deck for the whole journey. Stepping over many spewing up bodies to reach the loos to spew up for most of the journey myself. (Hubby and the rest of Stafford Harriers were drinking guiness and playing cards ) Coming back on P&O in the daytime was different again though , when I was ok spending the whole journey outside on deck.Yes, plenty can be discovered on a day trip.

Must have been a bloody big lift...Met the New Zealand All Blacks in the hotel lift.
2 hours 45. I've booked my ferry today, £130 each each way. A day trip is only about £35 but you'll only get 4 hours there. You can fly too, that's about £250 I think.
I think I've been on the ferry about 25 times, and have only been sick twice, and I get ill on most rides at Alton Towers! We always travel down overnight, so I have my travel sickness tablet and go to sleep. The first 45 minutes are getting to Lands End, so generally you're protected by the mainland, and you're only out in the sea for about an hour before you start to get into the lee of the islands.

Oooh dear, a lot longer than I was expecting . Only looked a short hop over on the telly programs. Got all the travel options up now and rather like the look of the Skybus , although never been on such a small plane , apart from a small cargo plane going to Majorca once. Would certainly be a new experience! Got some holiday discussing to do with hubby ! (He's scared enough getting on 757's )
Pretty sure we will be visiting if we can find suitable accommodation available on the islands and in Devon & Cornwall for stays en-route. Hubbys got loads of holidays to use with carrying loads over , so can have a longer break in the summer this year .Don't overthink it, just go for it. I don't know anyone who had only been once, it's the sort of place that draws you back.
"Oooh dear, a lot longer than I was expecting" but with all the coastline, the sharks, seals and dozens of seabirds there's never a dull moment - nearly as good as the journeys between Paddington and Penzance.Oooh dear, a lot longer than I was expecting . Must have been about 6 of them squashed in the lift with me & hubby going down to breakfast. They were MASSIVE , especially to my 5'2" . I only came up to their waists, was like being in the land of the giants .The whole team was in the bar area later , having some sort of pre-match discussions.
Well it didn't rain. It was still miserable though. Looks like I might be becoming a fair-weather bike in my old age...In retrospect riding to work on the bike this morning doesn't seem like such a great idea. Hoping the strong gusts of wind and rain die down a bit before I head off home.
I really really wish it was. It would of been worth my terror. Was it to put up a racists not wanted sign?
You should have said, I needed a giggle today....Started my work day 15-20 foot in the air, on a ladder.... Not what I was expecting.
