New KFC Rant

I went to KFC yesterday at about 6pm, and there was a sign that they were closed.

Now I love my KFC, and people will say vote with your feet, but then where will I get my KFC from. I was wandering if there was some kind of campaign we could start to get the Franchise owner in some trouble from head office.

Any ideas?

I'd like KFC if they actually knew how to fry (or indeed cook in any way) chicken (or rat). I propose that they be called K.

And their chips are rubbish.

Never liked the place since 3 of us went down with water-guts after eating there.

I had to wait in a cue one day which gave me time to look around. It's filthy in front and behind of the counter, so I didn't stop. This seems to be a trend with KFC. The franchise at Alton Towers was closed down by EHO.

i wholeheartedly support this.. i absolutely love kfc, but i haven't been once since returning to the 'ford because of all the horror stories i keep hearing

i just noticed an advert for a new cajun tower burger this morning as well, but i'm too scared to get one for fear of being woefully let down.. i defo reckon we should find the address to send this sort of thing to, and take action!

I have just tried to phone KFC head office. Apparently the Stafford KFC is not franchised but owned by Yum Restaurants International.

The guy I spoke to tried to help, but did not solve the issue at stake here.

well, i finally broke my Kentucky Fried Hymenâ„¢ at the weekend, as me & me biznotch went to KFC for the first time since moving back to stafford.. first impressions were terrible - it was freezing inside, and there were warning "slippery when wet" bollards everywhere that made the place look like an obstacle course.. after negotiating our way through these, we were then confronted with the chap "operating" the till.. now, i'm all for equal opportunities in the work place, but surely there has to be a limit when it comes to the level of mental retardation of your front-facing staff? clearly, KFC don't think so..

anyway, the long and short of it is - we ordered our food, we got what we ordered, it was all nice & warm (even after the long drive home), so everyone was happy.. in summary, the food was fine, but the place was an absolute dive and i've been in more comfortable looking crack dens*

Was the queue out of the door like it normally is when I go there.

They always have about 20 staff on, but only one till open. Then you have one member of staff to carry the bottle of pepsi from the fridge to the tray, one person to stand watching the chips cook, one who is in charge of the Vienetta's in the freezer...........

Kids with no manners or customer service skills put your order together without any thought. Twice we've been given the wrong size bucket without enough chicken in it! Sometimes batter on chicken isn't cooked enough and there's an obvious stuffing mix in it!!
We love a KFC especially when really hungry, but we won't waste our money on the stafford one!
Where's the Manager, to motivate the kids????

anyway, the long and short of it is - we ordered our food, we got what we ordered, it was all nice & warm (even after the long drive home), so everyone was happy..

Well you were damn lucky there mate, warm AND as ordered! We've had whole meals missed out, half of buns missing, freezing cold food and the good old "Sorry, we have no chicken".

I had my first ever KFC in the stafford branch and it was at least 10 years ago, the service and appearance have changed very little since that first time.
Stafford branch is the WORST ever. Followed by the one on the big retail park in telford, you know the one with Tescocks and Matalan.

So here is what you do:
1 Buy flight ticket to Paderborn(Germany) Airport from Manchester cost £19 ( if u lucky)
2 Get a Taxi to the KFC in paderborn Cost 23Euro
3 Enjoy a well cooked KFC served by freindly helpful, if a bit german staff in a clean and fully air conditioned restaurant with clean and happy play area for the kiddz Cost 20Euros

Having the first truely enjoyable KFC experiance of your life? PRICELESS

Paderborn is over 40k away from us but we still do the drive because its so nice there!

Jus ma two cents ya understand. KFC in London tastes completly different to up north kfc btw.

my sister reckons she's heard on the grapevine that the stafford kfc has recently been taken over by new management, so perhaps we will see some changes in the near future.. then again, she doesn't know where she has heard this, or when the takeover happened, or indeed who is the new management, so all of this may be completely made up lol..

i wasn't aware germany was famed for it's hookers.. surely you'd want to go to prague? or maybe thailand, if you're into something more exotic
