Is it just me or does stafford seem like its expanding at a freakish rate? There seems to be residential and commercial developments happening all over the place, the skyline is changing and it just generally seems like its growing in general. At this rate we will be swallowing up penkridge and stone!

I knew somebody that was born in one of the old houses in Queensville - for her, Stafford was north of the railway.

It's already closed and sign has been taken down. I've heard it's going to be another pet store, but no idea how true that is.
Cheers for that... For some reason I didn't think it would of been that quick but I guess it makes sense....

Spouting nonsense since the day I learned to talk
The 'opening soon' sign for the new Next which was by the entrance road to the retail park was vandalised the other day. It was replaced by a 'now open' sign on Monday and yesterday morning I saw that even that sign had been vandalised. There really are some brain-dead people about.

What was the vandalism? Smashed up, graffiti.

Clearly police unlikely to get off their arses, isn't there cctv on that roundabout?

I think things all slowed down during the recession. I remember lots of planned building or stuff being started back in 2007 then it all grinding to a halt. Think Lionel Blair - those hoardings were up for years and others were there before his charming features.
