Review of Kings Horse.
Hi guys, I have just been for lunch so thought I would let you guys who haven't been yet all about it. Opening food hours are 11am till 9pm with I presume normal drinking times as any other pub. The entrance is clean, modern and new with a big car park, and outside play area and smoking area. The restaurant itself is shiny and new with comfortable moveable chairs and bench type seating. There are booths varying in size an some have TV screens in them showing kids programmes. There was an extensive main menu, they also do breakfast, and a carvery every day which when I went had three meats, varying potatoes, red cabbage, pork crackling, Yorkshire puddings, gravy and various vegetables. You could go back for as many veg as you wanted. There was also a salad bar which was all you can eat for £2.99. Deserts came form main menu and from the large chiller cabinet in the restaurant.
Food was tasty and hot, service quick and efficient, and I was seated quickly. The place had filled up by lunch, which for the first week of trading is understandable. They don't take bookings so early arrival is essential.
There was a separate bar area which had menus on tables so it looks like you can eat in there too. In there was a large pool table and a couple of gambler machine. Toilets were shiny and new and painted in modern colours. Around the other side of the pub past the carvery section was more seating and a child play area with climb on toys, 2 computer consoles, TV and Kinect.
Upcoming live music was advertised on Saturdays from 9pm and consisted of Kylie tribute, Robbie Williams tribute, Abba tribute, 70s, night and motown. Hope that helps. any other questions let me know.
