New Years Eve plans anyone? (2012)

I had a great time doing my jigsaw, went outside to see all the fireworks briefly (I counted about 9 separate displays in the 90 or so degrees I could see around me!) and thought, " I wish I was up at the castle - that would be f*cking epic!"

We saw in the New Year in a very different way this year - we climbed the Wrekin in the dark and saw in the New Year from the top - it was magical - there were at least 150 people up there. We counted down to midnight, watched the lights, stars and fireworks then my other half took me over to the trig point on top and proposed

My first party went ok i think, my 2 guests say they enjoyed it at least. It was a fairly sober one though, can't say i was even merry as the only guest who could drink became ill (in a non drink related way) so stuck to water after their first drink and the other one was driving so not drinking. I just didn't feel comfortable getting newt like whilst they remained sober. As a result of this i am now up to my eye balls with undrunk bottles. Either they will linger for a fair while or i'm going to be rather drunk a few times lol
