Our campus is set in Stafford just 5 minutes drive from Junction 14 of the M6

a bit optimistic at the moment given beaconside's traffic issues I suppose time of day plays a part

So, it's been... a year and a half now since they took over Beaconside I think?

I emailed them a few weeks ago, asking about the office plans. Still no response. Either they are still working on that side of things, or have changed their plans completely and are focusing purely on the college now.

Anyone heard anything about stuff going on at the site?

I notice the odd vehicle movement now and then, but it's not very 'active'.

I know someone who was looking into applying for a non-teaching position - technician role, that sort of thing - at the site, but they have sort of given up on it because they don't really know whether anything is actually going to happen there or not.

So, turns out there is life in those walls. Incubator will be in the Octagon first-floor (bridge level) with shared spaces. They'll be renting out most of C-Block (which is pretty much all of the Beacon building before you hit the old engineering block) soon.

There's a block in the Octagon for startups - they'll have a condition to meet that like max earnings, max company age, etc. And it's only for desks, not entire rooms - so you're sharing with other businesses. Then there's rented ones where you get all the space to yourself in C-block

I've got five desks in my house, and one in the shed, and they're all rent free, without an asterisk.

Sadly, they didn't have anything rent free that fit the bill
