Hi Stafford Forum!!

I have visited this site many times over the past few years and enjoy reading what others are thinking and the latest insider gossip. I have worked in the town for over a decade and travel in down the A34 every day. Bad driving and queues make my blood boil. I am single and still looking for that special quirky person who will make me laugh. I thought I would register on the site to add some humour to some of the threads and stir things up a bit, as well as gain valuable insider info about the town.

Hi Stafford Forum, it's great to finally join you! We are EPX Limited, an IT Support & Solutions company.

EPX was founded in 2005 by local lads Daniel Ellis & Mark Pennington, beginning in a single 200 sq. ft. room in Rugeley. We've grown and expanded since then, and we're now located in the old Reynold's attic bar (we've made it slightly more professional since the old days!). We also have another office up on the Wirral which helps us provide services in the North West.

We're looking forward to chatting and letting you know about all the things we've got going on in and around Stafford!

Hello this is Phil. I am working in Uttoxeter for a month and am currently stayed in B&B during the week. I am from Surrey! I am seeking to rent 2/3 bed house with garden so I have children for the weekend. I am a keen walker and off road mountain biker. Where is the best village to live in within 5 miles from Uttoxeter? Any recommendation will be great. Thanks!

Hi Phil

This is something of an 'insular' forum, pretty much Stafford based, so i don't know whether you'll get much feedback. @Gate89 is a bit more Utch-oriented so it would seem, so hopefully they'll be along presently - don't hold your breath though, they're not on here that much.

I am a keen ...off road mountain biker.
You've probably heard of the trails @ Cannock Chase - they are sort of close but not hugely within cycling distance. Do you have a car? Have just had a brief look and it seems that to get to Rugeley Trent Bridge (closest station to the Chase) from Uttoxeter via rail you have to go via S-o-T, which is very inconvenient - hopefully someone can prove me wrong...

If you end up pining for some fat tyre action and are completely carless, i'd be happy to come and give you a lift to the trails and join you for a ride - i wouldn't be able to do so regularly, and can only really do Mondays/Tuesdays and even then not for sures, but it's better than nothing in the absence of other offers...

Is that like who ate all the pies......

To the original question Abbots Bromley and Marchington are nice villages (not sure on availability of rental property try Rightmove). Cycling - try the Tissington Trail - park up at any of the old stations on the route and choose your direction and distance to cycle. Very popular.

Yes, the HQ is at Rocester then they have 2 facilities on the A50 at Uttoxeter and another at the Burton turn on the A50.
