Occupy Together?

Just joined this forum and was wondering if Stafford had a wider community of public-spirited folk prepared to demonstrate their views. It surely exists, but how does it manifest itself outside of council meetings?

I believe the Occupy Together movement is wholesome and worthy of support.

One doesn't need to be a militant socialist to recognise the strength of feeling behind this:

yeah good luck with this one round here <rolls eyes>

If all else fails, there's always a tasty beer. I just hope the Landlord of the Spittal Brook doesn't mind! I'll check with him and update later.

Peace

No.

What is it you're pissed off about?

I would read the guardian article you posted, but, frankly, I can't be arsed. So give me the bullet points.

In dark days like this with incomes going down and bankers still on the lose are we not allowed a good moan. If some people want to protest good on them. If we can make people aware of issues through social media we might get things changed.

Ah I see. Fair enough.

Have to be honest, it's not something I'm too fussed about when it comes to protesting.

In fact, I'm not one for protesting anyway, as I'm sure you know from any posts I've made about unions ;)

Anyway - fair play to those who do protest - although I feel your cries may be falling on deaf ears.

Why is it up to others to condense everything down? It isn't a difficult article to read, though admittedly it is probably a bit more challenging than your average Daily Mail anti-immigration/cancer scare/Princess Diana/house prices are falling/persecuted motorist (delete as appropriate) tripe.

And I fail to see what Graestrummer 62 has posted (in any thread) that justifies -3 points?

Perhaps someone could provide some enlightenment...

If a barman serves you a beer with a large head do you smile or do you say I see the tides out today. Then explain to them there error of their ways.

I think that can be termed a protest.

Obviously apathy will change everything for the better.
I didn't say it would?

I didn't say it was difficult to read, I said I couldn't be bothered. It's no that difficult to understand my posts :p

If the daily mail comment is directed at me you're barking up the wrong tree.

I didn't cuffy the OP, but only because the cuffy button was a good few inches away from where my cursor was at the time, and the back button was nearer.

Just been to look at the occupy whatever website. I think I can safely say I won't be taking part in this bullshit, I have a job to go to.
