I know that they played Pearl Harbor to an audience of one.
They played True Grit to an audience of one. It was me.
I don't get out much.
Many moons ago (late 90s) Myself and the then-mrs went to see a film and were the only people in there. 10 minutes into the film another couple came in and sat 3 seats away from us, spoilt my plans for the evening I can tell ya!
I was one of a group of four that attended the Picture House to see Britannia Hospital. A couple arrived after us and then sat directly in front of us - when there was nobody else in the place - possibly the same culprits..?
I think somewhere I've seen some research as to why people do this is empty cinemas - I'll see if I can dig it out.
I presume that it's not wanting to seem stand-offish, or something along those lines. Or just a herd-instinct, you get the same sort of thing in car parks..
Is it not simply being as thick as two short planks?
Me and my mum saw Annie years and years ago and we were the only people there, we danced in the aisles and sang, they must have thought we were real loons!
When is this cinema supposed to open?
I thought it was August or September.
You thought wrong
Can't see that happening.
Why not? The build Seems to be going along swimmingly?
Is what I also thought.
Doesn't surprise me at all because...
Is what I thought when I walked past the other day.
Any updates on when this is likely to be complete/open ?
I heard xmas but there was no evidence offered to back that up.
Granted that I'm a little late to this conversation but...
Conan the Barbarian in the old Odeon. Split level with stall and circle.
Half term 82?
Me. The ice cream lady and the projectionist.
What at the same time ??
Well they wanted to ask me if I was ready for the movie to start, which was decent of them I guess.
