Old Police HQ Headquarters in Baswich

My mum and dad have just bought a new build Taylor Wimpey home. The experience has been horrendous, the end product is appalling and the after sales service is absolutely terrible. I'd avoid them like the plague.

Edit: It's a shame as it's a really nice house and cleverly designed in terms of use of daylight space.

Note: I'm being ironic.

New builds tend not to have much outdoor space.
Anyway, if you lack the outdoor space, there's always a green field in Stafford to go to*.

*irony again.

Front gardens are slowly being replaced by car parks. It's no surprise given a lot of households have two or more cars now.

We have a tiny bit out the front, I keep 2 wheelie bins there. Easier than trapsing them round the back all the time.

I much prefer village life - generally much more of everything house-wise, for much less.
You do need more space for those traditional country pursuits out in Yokelsville.

Sounds like there could be 350 houses on the site, 2 developers, Bovis taking the Lichfield Road side with the another (?) taking the Cannock Road side. Apparently

The Highways Dept when assessing the highways impact of the proposed development will compare it against the former 'Police HQ' use and the number of traffic movements that it generated, as well as look at any other recently approved developments and the capacity of the junctions.

If there is an adverse impact, can this be addressed? Is it significant?

What I don't understand is who moves here and why? No hospital as such and where are all the jobs? I'm thinking maybe it's because having a motorway junction at either end of town ppl can commute easily, until there's a problem and they all try to get from one end of town to the other.

Good point

What jobs do people do who move into new builds?

The survey starts

Mr Ellis replied:
That is nonsense. It's been anything but simple but working towards something in keeping with area & to minimise traffic.

I'm aiming at lot less but high qual development. Also trying to help re health centre & pos high end retirement+. But it's all very difficult!

Enjoying a drop of red.
@Floss67

Do you mean
who moves here to this part of town where the new development will be?

or

who moves to Stafford?
Are the problems @Floss67 mentioned unique to that new development or to the town as a whole?

Ponder that and when you have an answer, then I'd imagine you have answered your own question.
