Thank you Withnail. I'm feeling low-level sick with nerves and trying to avoid all the weather forecasts for Sunday.

My start time is 8.17am and all being well (if that 50mph wind is behind me) I hope to reach The Mall 8.5 hours later.

What was I thinking??
You should get a Stafford Forum t-shirt. Spread the word to the great unwashed....xx

I'm not sure I would be a very good advert, Glam. If I make it to the Finish, I will be the ancient, knackered-looking woman weeping and searching for chips.

I've been watching the Freecycle. It is brilliant - tiny children riding on stabilisers, a chap on a penny farthing, something funky called an elipticycle that looked as though it had been freed from a gym and thousands of ordinary people enjoying the traffic-free roads.

I went to find my 'wave loading zone' for tomorrow. I couldn't find it and then lost the hotel. I'm hoping there will be people to ask, in the morning.

I believe that our special competitor hits the road at 08:17 - let's all wish her all speed over the coming 100 miles - or, at least, an average of 11.7 mph or greater..

I believe the course has been shortened due to the forecast down to 86 miles

Two hills removed, I understand - that's great work by the Highways Department overnight, shows you what can be achieved...
