Just had a call from the lovely lady at Pastiche to say that they are cancelling my wedding booking (eep!!!) as unfortunately they are closing for a few weeks.

I didn't get the whole jist of the story (as my mind was going 'f*ck f*ck f*ck')

But they are having issues with the landlord - they are loosing the upstairs and *hoping* to keep the downstairs bistro.

Sadly they have had to let all staff go - but have hopes to be opening within 3 weeks or so - but probably cold food only as they'll loose the kitchen.

Very sad - my fave place to eat in Stafford!

Wow - but the upstairs is always busy (thinking about it when I go - which is usually festive time) ?

It's a real shame if it goes entirely - it was always my go to for slightly fancier than usual meals.

Also sorry @That-Crazy-Rat-Lady that it's messed up your wedding plans - Good luck with the replacement hunting.

I hope you find some where special for your special day. I think the landlord was the guy who owned TA Dunn / Male Domain back in the late 80's. He rented out the whole building when he moved to live in France. He obviously owned both the upstairs and downstairs parts.

Wondered when one of you would bite.
That'll do. I used do buffets when I was in the kitchen at work. Could use the facilities there to string sumat up. I'm sure between us we could manage.
