path in victoria park constantly flooded.

Path from station gets flooded at any bit of rain and i have discussed this plenty with SBCs park department. They have no money to do anything and even when I asked if park staff can simply brush water into the mottram stand drain instead standing around she said nothing they can do. Instead the grass have become mud baths and flower beds trodden on by passers by. SBC parks team waste of space.

Water table is pretty high at the moment though, a day of rain is filling it up again. We need a good couple of weeks of no rain before things stop flooding.

Stafford has had major developments , and Statutory Consultees one being the Environment Agency still insist they see no increase in water run off .
Our borough Council are ignorant in compiling cumulative impact assessments , this will increase with further developments in the pipeline

And the pipeline will empty into the river..?

I know which bit Gareth is talking about and it's not an overdevelopment problem, it's just a dip in the ground. Easily resolved by a bit of tarmac to raise the footpath out of the dip. Very sad that the borough claim not to have the money to fix such a simple problem.

This is not always the case , most new developments are not connected to pipelines they have SUDS and soakaways which should dispel water over a period rather than at once , but as the water table rises parts that do not flood are showing , like Sainsburys Lorry Park entrance and the footpath in question , and NO I have no association with Frank James !
