I find it a little worrying that this is the second political type on here. Aparently because issues were being discussed and this person has an Agenda to push. I'm impressed and a little aprehencive. When did this become the political hub of stafford? <puts on tin foil hat> something is going on here.

Any formuers who see this as a pollicitcal trespase on our little corner of the web I'd just like to point out there is a 'cute' Ning site where you could push an agenda of your own...

We have lots of greens in here and some full on commies (lunar).

But seriously Admin are you advertising at the council or something? Or do political type spend hours looking on forums etc. for mentions of issues they have a spin on or even their names?
Admin edit: I have moved these posts to a new thread, as I can see that the presence of political representatives on The Forum is stimulating quite an interesting debate. :)

I now hand you over to basil, whose post was the earliest of those moved, chronologically, and so has the dubious honour of being the thread-starter:

Hi Diana, any thoughts on the member for stone you'd care to share?, i've let rip on the @w*t a few times and i can assure you it's not out of any political bias as he well knows......

i don't get why a few of you are being so paranoid about diana :?:

her own blog, which she linked in her first post, says that she is a member of the labour party and is therefore obviously interested in local politics, and perhaps privvy to more information than your average joe.. she also says "I am fascinated by the way in which social networking and blogs can create new ways to work towards solutions," so no wonder she's getting stuck right in!

she's clearly interested in this topic, as anyone can see from her verbose replies, but nothing strikes me as particularly sinister..

perhaps i'm just being naïve lol.. either way, welcome to the forum diana :)
Haha transparency is key, I wanted to post the above thinking maybe I've missed something glaring in other posts which would clear that up.

Frankly I don't see what the problem, Diana has declared everything demanded (and not under duress either) BEFORE it was demanded! Of course Diana was under no obligation to do this either.

Either way debate is always good so lets not attack one another eh? You'd never catch upstanding members like Tek, LS, MyCult or I doing that

I ♥ cryptic crosswords
I don't understand that logic

But then I presume that people care more about hospitals than fried chicken and so I am often proved very wrong

Tempting, very tempting! I can't imagine the screen play to this without him.

I think he is a very clever man who always understands the rules. http://dianamsmith.wordpress.com/2009/06/02/the-debating-style-of-bill-cash/

Haven't read any of this until just, but I love the fact Lunar feels violated by someone associated with the labour party. :)

Gramaisiac for PM, MyCult for treasurer, DirtyB to replace OfCom and Shoes to be incharge of benefits.

Well, I wouldn't want to discourage Diana from posting here, and I certainly wouldn't recommend that she takes her views to another site!
No of course you wouldnt would you Admin, where would this site be without people posting..??!!??

Feel free to make full use of Stafford Forum, Diana. I'm sure plenty of people here welcome your input. :)
And as for input, i have never suggested otherwise and have always said her input is welcome. Did it at any point sound otherwise?

Anyways think i have made my feelings known about this now, so unless there is anything new about it thats my last word (you'll be glad to hear).

In a very strange way I do enjoy having virtual responsibility for non-food items. It beats databases any day. Although I guess a database is a non-food item too.

why? i would have thought the more users we have the better, regardless of their political leanings.. and i'm pretty sure we have more than 2 ;)

I was merely following the established party line. I did consider that you should be Head of BBC, but that sounds a little bit unsavoury.

now on account of my main residence being in sheffield, can i claim expenses for living at my parents when attending stafford for work purposes?

id also like to know whether i will be provided with either a bus pass or taxi tokens to get around the constituency on account of not having a car...or if i can claim for my mum to chauffeur me?

theres also the small question of having a county wide annual 'hat' day...how do i go about getting this sorted.

This is an Excellent Point! My residence is in Warwick so would also need to claim for a flat in Stafford. I don't drive either so would require a travel allowance in order to the job. Other things I will need:

1. I have a very lonely and water-allergic duck with desires for a floating home.
2. Next doors dog is terrible at salsa. He need Lessons.
3. I intend to have a moat around my property. I want it filled with the tear of tax-payers children.
4. MrsCult has a flat in London *which i pay for* this is a second home. I'll need compensating for that.
5. My PA, Hoppy will need paying. She has vital duties that help me Govern. She has incredible linguistic and organisational skills for a rabbit and I couldn't work without her.

Once these political requirments have been met I will be ready for the actual business of government.

I will soon be undertaking State Visits to Ireland and the Czech Republic. I assume that you will be fully funding these, Mr ChancellorCult?
