Sounds really good!
Any suggestions for a tuna alternative? (Its about the only thing Quorn cant make!) It sounds really really yummy!
The Linda McCartney rosemary and red onion sausages are awesome if your having a bbq
Potters/ Clayheads toast the bread 1 side first, then bung the cheese on the other. Ive never heard owt so daft as only doin 1 side.I agree! Its just not cheese on toast if you haven't toasted both sides of the bread, then toasted the cheese too!

How to they hold up calorie wise to the quorn ones? I'm not a huge fan of sausages anyways so I'll always have fake over real.
I'm not sure I could ever go all out veggie though, and if I did I'd have to keep fish on the menu.
That's what he does! Only toasts one side, turns it over, puts cheese on then toasts that side...Potters/ Clayheads toast the bread 1 side first, then bung the cheese on the other. Ive never heard owt so daft as only doin 1 side.

He tried to make his mum cheese on toast when he was little.....cheese spread spread on bread, then bunged in the toaster...its a wonder he didn't set fire to the house...
I toast it both sides, then put the cheese on and toast it again....the propper way (usually with a but of spicy mango chutney under the cheese)

If you can download 'My Fitness Pal' it will tell you the calories of every bit of food and drink you consume each day, it also allows you to add your daily exercise to calculate your calories/fitness.
Lol, I started using it last November when I found I was diabetic, I lost half a stone in one month by cutting out carbs and sugar, but then it was Christmas and all the carbs crept back in You can keep cakes and chocolate, my love is potatoes, pasta and rice....must start using it again, and find out how to set the carb levels....Its really good if you are looking to loose weight.I think I'd rather not know, as long as my legs don't chafe when I walk I think I'll be okay.....
Carbonara is a good quick one too.
Carton of single cream (the middle sized one)
3-4 rashers streaky bacon or pancetta - sliced into thin strips
clove or two of garlic
2 egg yolks
Parmesan
Cook enough spaghetti/fettucini for 2 people
While cooking pasta, beat egg yolks into the cream in a bowl, add as much parmesan as you'd like and mix thoroughly.
When the pasta is 5/6 mins from done, fry bacon in a pan until crispy and oozing (depending on the nature of the bacon used here, i tend not to add any oil but let the fat come from the bacon itself in a dry pan, otherwise use a bit of olive oil) for 4/5 mins.
Add sliced garlic and fry for a minute or so.
Drain pasta and put back in the pan it was cooked in, add contents of the bacon pan and those of the eggy cheesy creamy bowl and stir into the pasta until its all mixed together and eat instantly.
I have the official Quorn cook book, if you want any recipes give me a shout!
Sometimes I make my own vegan pizzas with various types of bread as the base (I have used pitta breads, breakfast english muffins cut in half, ciabatta or baguette cut lengthways or thickly sliced for mini pizzas), spread on something tomatoey (even ketchup will do!) then add Cheezly. It's awesome and so easy! I'm sure you could add other toppings but I can never be arsed and I live on my own so fresh veg is a rarity in my house. This is how I do it, sometimes I use tomato paste and make mini pizza toasties, can even add red onion if I'm feeling adventurous!
Or pork steaks hammered about a quarter inch thick, coated the same and shallow fried. Served with potato salad or a creamy mushroom sauce.Chicken breasts coated in flour, dipped in beaten egg then coated in breadcrumbs. Pop in the oven about 20 mins at 175 for a fan oven. I make my own breadcrumbs from old bread in the blender then add chilli, salt, pepper and a few fennel seeds. Very quick and tasty.
