Some one at work was saying that we are going to have a new radio station(re-launch of old one?) in September. Anyone know anything. As usual I am completely in the dark

Yes we'll be getting a radio station, internet based & FM in the near future. They'll be officially launching in the next month or so.

For those that may not have heard yet, a new radio station is launching in Stafford, the return of Stafford FM.

Launching September 5th, online to begin with but on FM in November, Stafford FM will be providing live commentary on every Rangers game, starting with a special pre-launch show on Saturday covering the game with FC United.

If for whatever reason you can't get to the game, log on to www.staffordfm.com from 2pm for the build up, the match of course live from 3.

The commentaries will continue with the trip to Worksop next Wednesday (depending on facilities at the ground) so keep listening!

Superadio is a separate radio station run by different people to Stafford FM. Some members that make up the team for Stafford FM left Superradio due to many different reasons. Stafford FM is aiming to be, not just a radio station, but a multi media company which give people of the community a chance to be involved on some exciting projects.

All I am allowed to tell you at the moment is we'll be covering local events & promoting them.

This is excellent news! We considered buying stafford.fm when the FM TLD was released, as we were saddened by the way the Super Radio Stafford debacle played out so hoped to make a go of it ourselves. I'm glad we didn't in the end; I can see that you chaps have since snapped it up, so I wish you all the best in bringing a proper radio station to Stafford.

As I have said many times before, Stafford Forum was created by Staffordians, out of nothing but their love for Stafford and a desire to bring its people together, so we would love nothing more than to work together with local media to help promote it.
