I suppose (and this may sound controversial to some members here), if you don't like the place that's opening and feel you need to berate the place because it attracts the kind of people you don't like, then simply don't go in.

The fact is that the opening of the bar will employ a number of people, which has to be a good thing?

It should generate income for the town as well, given the scale of the development across the river and that it is a widely known brand of venue. I know from personal experience that for anything like this I'd have had to else where, Newcastle, Bentley Bridge for example for an eating out, cinema and post movie drink.

I can only see but good things for this......Yes there may be familiar faces as you put it, which is great, but you may find some new ones too.

Change is inevitable.......Embrace it.
Bang on.... It's a unit that will be right opposite a cinema and a few food places.... It will fit in fine...

I don't drink Vodka and I don't like Revolution bars, however I am not against it. Stafford needs to provide a range of drinking establishments to accommodate / attract a range of people. It will also provide jobs and provide a viable reuse of a vacant building which will complement what is taking place opposite.

I will stick to my real ale pubs.

Either. Although on the whole pub floors seem less sticky than they used to be. Or I now go to a different type of pub than those which were available in my misspent youth.

I remember the Rose and Crown - Albert and Edie behind the bar! They were so cute - Edie used to tease me that she was going to run off with my boyfriend!

I remember when Props had it's "referb" and even on the flyer it said, "Yes, even the toilets now work!"

That lasted about a week before you needed waders again...

Councillor Christine Baron, who represents the area, said the town could do with the business being brought back into use. "The Litten Tree has been closed for years and years, I don't think it was anything before that," she said.

Really? So it was just vacant from when they built the council buildings until the Litten Tree? Who here remembers Faeces American Diner?
