Crummy, would be the best description.

Run down, low rent & artsy would be a better description.

But it would appear a lot of the fun stuff is starting to crop up again in the Baltic Triangle 8 or 9 years after they stuck compulsory purchase orders on their entire arts scene.

Does anyone know which cinema it is yet? I hope it's vue cinemas I have six free tickets and not a fan of star city, newcastle is okay but not midweek on a school night too much effort

According to the piece it is known but the announcement has to be made by the chain nnot the developer. I suspect vue

Yesterday I viewed the planning application to amend the cinema to 6 screens. I noticed on one of the plans the mention of Odeon. I have no idea if this was a 'slip up' or was an old plan. I suspect it is the latter because it also stated on one of the plans Debenhams occupying the unit that is now being occupied by Primark.

For some reason I'm not all that keen on Odeon Cinemas...VUE's are fairly decent though.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's Odeon as the one at festival park is dying a death and that is before the one the potteries centre opens half a mile away. Odeon there starting to do cheap tickets but it looks like it will close. Last thursday one staff member doing food and tickets seems to be the norm takes ages as they dont open their ticket kiosks

I heard odeon are not doing so well and could possibly be bought out

My agent in the cinema industry says that Vue had to sell the Apollo chain, as Odeon complained about a possible monopoly situation developing....
