Riverside development April start

Enjoying a drop of red.
My point is that by moving into the new place he is leaving an empty shop in stone, a town which is already struggling, and he adds to the problem.
Unpleasant to see you reveling in another town's demise.
Well this is a forum about Stafford, so frankly who gives a shit about Stone. You're just moaning for the sake of it and you are, frankly, pathetic.

Stop trolling and get your kicks somewhere else.

Your attitude is typical of the people of Stafford. Totally selfish and not bothered about anyone else. That's why Stafford is in the mess it's in.

lets all calm down. Agree to disagree and move on to happier fun discussions about the town and not vitriolic discussions.

@HopesDad But it's ok for you to revel in your own towns demise?

Which you have done daily. You have not said one positive thing about Stafford at all.

Not that it is in decline of course, only in your world.

I take no joy in a shop closing in Stone. I like Stone very much but this is a forum about Stafford.

I'll you what fine dining establishment Stafford is missing: Burger King!

Do we know how long the other units are going to sit empty for? It does detract from the development a little that there's still empty plots in the main thoroughfare. It's still a cracking development though, don't get me wrong!

Also, it would have been nice to have got some local artist(s) to paint a mural on the big, blank bit of wall next to M&S. It looks really bland and out of place just being bare brick!

Talking of murals. I wonder what they did with the old one of the brine baths that was on the outside wall of the toilets at the old tesco?

I do not revel in the town's demise, I find it very sad that the town in which I was born has been destroyed by a succession of councils interested only in themselves. 60 years ago Stafford had so much potential, but all that has now gone.

But unlike most on this board I will not just bury my head in the sand and pretend everything is wonderful. I am able to see the reality.

I live in Stafford because I have a job here and I am too old and too disabled to stand any chance of getting a better job in a better town. The minute I am able to retire I will be straight out of this hell hole to start a proper life in a proper town.
Still wondering where you intend to go to...

Knackering of towns like this over the last half century has been a bit of a specialist subject for successive UK governments.

Not that it's any of your business, but I shall be going to live in my house in County Donegal.

How rude are you when someone asks a question?

For years now the forum has worked well with people helping each other, answering questions, getting along, being informative/helpful/ friendly/ fun/

Just stop with the negativity when people are just being civil.

I was not being rude, I was simply pointing out to him that where I live is none of his business. He was not being civil, he was being nosy
