you'd be amazed at what you can get away with on ebay.. "a friend" *cough* used to make ~£200 a week selling knocked off DVDs and stuff a few years back.. note "my friend" didn't rip anyone off - it was quite clear to the bidders that they were buying copies!sammy said:Hi there,
a friend at work told me about it this morning
surely they wouldnt be able to put it up if it was a scam??
yeah, but there are only 3 other ratings, and those are from sellers.. i just can't see a legitimate PR contact of robbie williams having an ebay username of luxury_items67 lol..sammy said:I looked at the ad and I did look at the sellers feedback, rest of it was good!
is this the one?henry 'ford said:you can listen to it on youtube.
it's not a bad song, per se.. it just sounds a little "generic", imo - like a ricky martin tune circa 1999.. for a pop tune to be snapped up by a big artist these days it needs to have something about it, something quirky you can get your teeth into.. especially for an "artist" like robbie williams, who after almost single-handedly causing EMI to fold due to the abomination that was Rudebox, really needs to pull out all the stops if he's ever going to release anything again..sammy said:I think that it wouldve been a good song for Robbie with the style but I also think it would even suit a group like Mcfly??
what does "placed on robbie" mean? do you mean this song was just presented to his management as a possible release? if so, i bet they have had hundreds of songs "placed on" them - it doesn't mean you can advertise them all as "robbie williams songs"!Simon Marks said:as I know for a FACT that this song She's A Diva was placed on Robbie in May. Maybe you would need to speak to relevant management to confirm this
i've no idea who he is - he's a newbie, like you, who only signed up a couple of days ago.. but more importantly, who are you? you seem quite passionate on the subject, and claim to have extensive knowledge about the internal management of robbie williams' career..Simon Marks said:you important person henry?
indeed.. it certainly seems as though you have a personal interest in this, simontek-monkey said:2 posts, both in this thread, and both just to disagree with Henry, despite offering none of the facts you asked Henry to produce.
it's not a "massive amount," but it's certainly more than the going rate for a mediocre tune by a barely recognised producer, who sells his wares via ebay! the guy who wrote williams' "Angels" only got £7500, and that went double platinum!Simon Marks said:As for your opinion on the song, that is indeed your entitlement, as for the amount in question, I am sure that you are aware 20k, is not a massisve amount in this industry?!
Simon Marks said:Be sure to check your spelling, as well as your facts before your next posting!
Simon...if you're going to pick up on someone's spelling errors it may be a good idea to ensure that your post doesn't have a glaring one stuck in the middle!Simon Marks also said:As for your opinion on the song, that is indeed your entitlement, as for the amount in question, I am sure that you are aware 20k, is not a massisve amount in this industry?!
you know what it needs? put a banging donk on itsammy said:I have to admit I think its a catchy tune
