Hi sammy, welcome to Stafford Forum :)

Do you have a link, either to the eBay listing or to where you originally heard this story?

hi sammy, welcome to the forum :)

well, there's the ebay listing.. looks like a scam, though:

a) this has not been reported as a news story anywhere
b) a google search of "Tiger PR" turns up absolutely nothing.. as if a PR company involved with robbie williams wouldn't have an internet presence
c) the seller's feedback includes a negative for not providing £2000 worth of tanning gear!

where did you hear about this, sammy?

Hi there,

a friend at work told me about it this morning
surely they wouldnt be able to put it up if it was a scam??
I looked at the ad and I did look at the sellers feedback, rest of it was good!

you'd be amazed at what you can get away with on ebay.. "a friend" *cough* used to make ~£200 a week selling knocked off DVDs and stuff a few years back.. note "my friend" didn't rip anyone off - it was quite clear to the bidders that they were buying copies!

yeah, but there are only 3 other ratings, and those are from sellers.. i just can't see a legitimate PR contact of robbie williams having an ebay username of luxury_items67 lol..

thats what I thought!!! then again, I suppose it could be deemed a luxury item?
none the less, its mad!!!!!

think it's legitimate tbh, although it should be noted that it isn't a robbie williams song, it's a michael watson song. it's also absolutely siht, you can listen to it on youtube. i know for a fact this is a track that was never considered for a robbie album, i've heard all the tracks off the album that's next next due out (prob about jan) and every single track psises all over that tripe. if peaches geldof wants it, give her it. i can't see anyone wasting that sort of money on something with absolutely no pop appeal. at least peaches geldof would shift some records to the emo kids, surely before anyone even hears you'd top twenty grand if you look at how many "my chemical romance" "peaches geldof" lovers their are out there with their skinny little jeans and floppy hair and chequered hoodies.

Good Evening,
Unfortunately, I have to 'emphatically disagree' with you Henry Ford...... as I know for a FACT that this song She's A Diva was placed on Robbie in May. Maybe you would need to speak to relevant management to confirm this :)
So I am afraid it is irrelevant as to whether it is on the forthcoming album, which is to be released when????
As for your opinion on the song, that is indeed your entitlement, as for the amount in question, I am sure that you are aware 20k, is not a massisve amount in this industry?!
If I were you I would go back to your facts/or source of information........?????

Sorry I forgot to say..... well done, you are priviliged....... listening to the forthcoming album, you important person henry?
Be sure to check your spelling, as well as your facts before your next posting! :)

i'm not going to comment.. it sounds pretty generic at the moment, but i'm assuming that's because it isn't being sung by a professional recording "artist" and hasn't been through the production machine..

although "porsche carerra for my love, the riviera for my love" is a pretty awful lyric lol..

edit: i just realised i said "i'm not going to comment," and then did exactly that.. :unnnnnnn:

I have to admit I think its a catchy tune, but then again I am a girlie, and quite a diva, some might say....
so a porche carrera and the riviera sounds pretty cool to me, especially if there are diamond rings thrown in as well :)
I think that it wouldve been a good song for Robbie with the style but I also think it would even suit a group like Mcfly??

it's not a bad song, per se.. it just sounds a little "generic", imo - like a ricky martin tune circa 1999.. for a pop tune to be snapped up by a big artist these days it needs to have something about it, something quirky you can get your teeth into.. especially for an "artist" like robbie williams, who after almost single-handedly causing EMI to fold due to the abomination that was Rudebox, really needs to pull out all the stops if he's ever going to release anything again..

what does "placed on robbie" mean? do you mean this song was just presented to his management as a possible release? if so, i bet they have had hundreds of songs "placed on" them - it doesn't mean you can advertise them all as "robbie williams songs"!

i've no idea who he is - he's a newbie, like you, who only signed up a couple of days ago.. but more importantly, who are you? you seem quite passionate on the subject, and claim to have extensive knowledge about the internal management of robbie williams' career..

2 posts, both in this thread, and both just to disagree with Henry, despite offering none of the facts you asked Henry to produce.

Lets face it, no point giving a rats ass on your opinion mate. I'd suspect you were another member not wanting to use your own account to be honest, but you're discussing an ex take that member so I can't see the need for it.

For the record, unless they have gone to very great lengths to conceal their identity, all the new users in this thread are just that - new users - so let's all play nice :)

Simon Marks, that goes for you too! Doesn't go down too well with the regulars if a newbie signs up just to have a dig at another Forumite ;)

Interesting thread though - I hope the discussion continues!

indeed.. it certainly seems as though you have a personal interest in this, simon :strange:

it's not a "massive amount," but it's certainly more than the going rate for a mediocre tune by a barely recognised producer, who sells his wares via ebay! the guy who wrote williams' "Angels" only got £7500, and that went double platinum!

 Simon...if you're going to pick up on someone's spelling errors it may be a good idea to ensure that your post doesn't have a glaring one stuck in the middle!

Hi there,
I work in the 'industry' and yes I am passionate about the subject and more importantly the truth of the matter.
While I do not claim to know totally whats going on in Robbies career, I do have some insight.
As for people 'selling their wares', I really do not think that this was the case........I think that was a couple of weeks ago when the guy sold his life, was it not??
With regards to my spelling, it is duly noted!
