GoogleTranslate won't work with this, can someone here translate the above?

We may therefore, depending on the outcome at committee, need to issue an Article 31 (previously 25) Holding Direction, to you on Thursday 31 March, formally preventing your authority from issuing planning permission.
*Translation* This is no longer 'a little local difficulty' - if approved by SBC, the decision will be scrutinised by the Big Boys...

... If it is decided to call in the application (which it has been), then the application will be considered at a public inquiry, led by a planning inspector who will then make recommendations to the Secretary of State.

The Secretary of State considers the inspector's report and recommendation and decides whether or not to allow the application.

Is there a means to view photographs of those who will make the decision on Wednesday

I count anyone on the committee who fails to attend or abstains as the devil

Other decision makers may find a new word has been invented come 4.00pm on Wednesday

This is not a threat veiled or unveiled

Of course Garter boy could easily withdraw the offer of his land at Doxey Marshes if he had the will to do so.

If only HS2 were heading Swynnerton way

Oh, hang on...

Then we would hear what a horrid lot planning laws and decision makers are... Oh hang on..

It's not quite as simple as that. As I understand it DCLG have reserved the right to call the application in. As such, if the application is approved the planning submission will be forwarded to the SoS. The SoS will then decide whether to call in the application. If the application is called in then we go through the process that you've outlined.

If you go on the council's website you can see the members of the planning committee.

Everyone take a recording device, that way nothing gets missed. I can lay my hands on a few proper dictaphones if necessary, much better microphones than on a mobile phone.

Just think how much this extended farce has cost us already, and now they want to have a sham committee meeting. Forget the chummy correspondence with the DCLG, this and a pile of previous planning decisions should be investigated, and all those responsible should be put on 'Annual Leave' immediately.

How many more blunders and cover ups ? Destroying paper files ! Audio recordings missing ? Property developers on the planning committee , this forum is a wealth of information well done to all . Stafford a council to be proud of ? , let's hope people wake up at voting time

One of recent comments on the application comes from the leisure department. It makes points but says in broad terms says it supports Rugby club.

As has been mentioned on here the boss of that department is / was a director of the club but this was not transparent.

I gave MAL credit for arguing his case but he was less than clear when it came to being up front about this interest. I know it probably won't make much difference but the club and council could have done themselves a favour and made that clear from start

MAL has been a bit quiet since he ran out of ways to tell us there would be no environmental effect. Maybe Lord Staffold will take over as unbiased spokesperson.

So just to understand Wednesday a little better....

The Planning Committee or those who don't bottle it, will go to Doxey Marshes at 1.30 to glance at a few fields from a mini bus In the absence of the Stafford Borough Council Planning Case Officer who is away?

Then they come back to Riverside ( by boat?) to confirm a decision they have already made and those people who will decide the Marshes are built on are as follows

Conservative for Swynnerton BRIAN PRICE
Conservative for Holmcroft BRYAN CROSS
Conservative for Fulford MICHAEL DODSON
Conservative for Milwich ANDREW HARP
Conservative for Barlaston GARETH JONES
Conservative for Haywood ALAN PERKINS
Conservative for Fulford PETER ROYCROFT
Conservative for Church Eaton RAY SUTHERLAND
Conservative for Rowley CAROLYN TROWBRIDGE
Independent for Forebridge CHRISTINE BARON
v
Labour for Coton BILL KEMP
Labour for Highfields MAUREEN BOWMAN
Labour for Littleworth ROWAN DRAPER

It's going to be a Rugby score is it not?

But if inaccurate information is used to inform the planning it can be appealed I assume? Has the new application addressed all 7 relevant points from the last review? If not, is it not easy to put it on hold again?

No reply from natural England yet, so guessing it'll be after easter now.

Natural Easter?

In a re-birthing pool?

I wonder if permission has been given to publish online lobbying emails from senders ? With data protection emails not sent directly to the borough council planning dept suddenly appear on the portal

You missed out the bit when then the police burst through the doors, round up the committee members, shove them into a van with blacked out windows and cart them all off to the nick.
