Seems the county council are paying the price for this road and call it enhancement of SSSI for the wading birds
The vast swathe of pitches, carparks and newt detoxing facility (sorry, clubhouse) is only a few yards from the river being modified, and will be sharing the same floodwater. How can that be nowt to do with the rugby club?
Get off your lazy arse and go look at the distance. It is at least quarter of a mile away....yards my arse.
Creswell, in case anybody searches for it, Cresswell is up near Stoke....No it doesn't.
there are no alterations being made to the river because of the rugby club which isn't in the area of where the work is currently occurring which is at the cresswell end of the marshes to significantly improve the wildlife offer of the marshes and aid in matters of flooding down stream.
Of course as conspiracy theorists talk and make up a lot of s*** there is nothing positive as nothing is ever good enough.

It might just be me being ever so silly, but I imagine that when they decide to build a bypass, they hire structural engineers to assess the impact on any surrounding structures.
So many question; so little clue...They have planning permission get on with it ,or are we waiting on funding ? Or more flood prevention works to be completed ? Or whilst the diggers are over the marshes they may borrow earth from one side for the other , ow I remember planning consent was granted earlier this decade and it did not happen ? A big bag of money if it's fecked up environmentally or is another twist in the waiting !
Link plz
The bit I don't get is dumping soil in the ponds up towards the M6. Won't that just mean more flooding? So many question; so little clue...
"The council said that as well as creating improvements for wildlife, the lowered areas of land will also act as extra water storage in the event of flooding, helping to protect areas downstream."The bit I don't get is dumping soil in the ponds up towards the M6. Won't that just mean more flooding?
I've followed links on here as I've seen them and I haven't seen any article that says what you claim it says. So I'd appreciate it if you could point me to the specific article.
I love (not really) when members of the public think they've thought of something in their idle musings that the long series of designers haven't thought of in the years of prep, planning, testing, feasibility, fundraising and design a project like this takes.
"Yeah but did they think of..."
Yes, they did. Probably fifteen years ago.
