I know this isnt private but the other halfs sister was looking for a polo and went to view this

In the end she had one from a family friend but she was very impressed with this one, and prob would have purchased it!

Thanks for that, just rang him and he doesn't really want to take the E-Bay route and 2003 is older than the one he killed.

Can I ask why you're so set on something relatively new? I recently picked up a W-reg Fiesta and as it's a bit more modern than a Beetle, it should last me several years - especially if I look after it. And if I were to crash it, it was only £750 which is going to be a lot cheaper than however much an '07 car would set you back. Please don't misunderstand this as being judgemental, I'm just trying to understand the thought process here

Personally with you there but my partner is of the 'newer = better' persuasion plus she's persuaded her ex to stump up a couple of grand towards the purchase.Can I ask why you're so set on something relatively new?
