I passed close to Pimlico on a recent voyage to see @Goldilox. I also passed close to Moscow and Bilbao on the same journey. My nearest point to Pimlico was probably The Swan.Passport to Pimlico?
I have Metropolis on dvd, first watched it sometime in the 80s. Brilliant film. I'm quite a fan of the old silent films, Keaton, Chaplin and Lloyd being amongst my favouritesWhich came first?

One of the very few films that I've actually seen in a cinema. I was in Bristol, with a family acquaintance. When the lights went down, he handed me a paper bag, "Don't have any, but pass it around, tell 'em it's homemade toffee."
I think you may know the answer seeing as Raquel Welch was in One Million Years BCWhich came first?

A casino?Apparently an offer has been made for the old cinema , 750k, to turn it into a casino.
No, there are too many bridges on the river, so they would not be able to get through. And the river is not deep enough for most of its length, either. And too many weeds.Surely a casino would be better placed where the new cinema is being built, so that the super-yachts can be moored conveniently on the river.
Another planning failure.
There will be no appetite in Stafford for a casino. Most Stafford people would not even know what to do in a casino. They are more betting shop and lottery people.Apparently an offer has been made for the old cinema , 750k, to turn it into a casino.
