Interesting as well that it has the idea of the person healed that was happily begging, as would later appear in the Life Of Brian.

Now that you can have rather more 'fruity' language, are the bips that precede such necessary?

Sorry missed half the show on account of timeshift awareness issues.

To be frank, missed the other half on account of :google:ing Tony Law and watchening the things what were available to listwatch to - vis this, with the whole Palin/Stalin thing.

Jolly good 'n' all that.

Timing.

The news has overwritten the ending of the legend that is George Carlin, and is talking over you now.

What's the secret of comedy?

I had something of a crush on Helen Lederer, back in the day. She's done lots - http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0496478/ - but first came to my attention in the incomparable Young Ones.

Everything is potentially a liquid, just as it is potentially a solid and a gas.

Depends on the temperature.

Have i tuned in to the right show?

Re: Glass

An 'amorphous' solid is one that is essentially non-crystalline.

An analogy what i have just thought of is the difference between a brick and a dry stone wall - an imperfect analogy, granted, but given that you are unlikely to give a shit i'm running with it.

Glass is a solid that is a cooled liquid; as it cools the molecules do not line up in a structured form as if 'twere a brick wall as would be seen in crystalline solids. The molecules amalgamate 'amorphously' - ie 'without form' - fitting together as if 'twere a higgledy-piggledy dry stone wall.

Crucially, in the context, each wall is inherently strong. The dry stone wall does not 'flow' because of its amorphous nature, and neither does glass.

The proof of the pudding in this particular instance is in the metaphorical eating. This glass artefact here -

- dates from c.100 B.C., if glass was as fluid as has been suggested it really should be nought but a blob.

So many opinions ...actually 6875 opinions of some which might be considered witty, funny, irreverent.

But a real 15 year old going missing you think is boring.

No i don't think what has actually occurred boring. I find the reporting thereof boring.

I find the relentless searching of 'motive' in the guise of 'news' boring. I find the 'where are they now' boring. I find the 'emotional' press conference of the families involved boring. I find the 'in depth analysis' of the couple's 'mental state' boring. I find the seemingly endless faux speculation-in-the-guise-of-explanation blah boring.

Because it is now 'form'.

These stories follow a narrative that is inherently boring. News is boring. Nothing is new. It is all so boringly predictable.

Unless it happens to be happening to you.

Then one can only imagine it is far from boring.

Unfortunately everybody else will be so bored that they cannot summon the necessary empathy to not be bored by it.

Oh ok.
So you find news boring.
Fair enough.
Actually based on that, I don't actually think you are the Mayor, so scrub that.

I think i have grasped the wrong end of the you know what - i did wonder why i might have been the Major.

No, i am not the Mayor - nor am i ever likely to be so. Shame in a way as i'd be a top quality one.

W - where W=Why - TF are we discussing this in Mr. Juice Comedy's thread?

I have put this apology on another thread as well.

I am really sorry for my late night ranting and rudeness. I have no idea why I thought you were the Mayor. Anyway, I apologise sincerely.

And also for highjacking the thread.

Re: Mr. Gorman

I know for a fact, so much of a fact that i thought it reasonable to put the word 'fact' in bold, that DG agonised about the decision to drop out of Uni and take the path he has.

I talked about this with him, as did many others, as he beat himself up about it, in the Essence of the Orient (shurely Props? - Ed).

It certainly wasn't an easy decision at the time - i dare say it feels like an easier one now.

Hold on a mo.

Haven't you just made light of the Mayors 'easy' schedule, and made play with the lack of news in the Newsletter?

At the same time as taking issue with someone else doing similar?

Testing, testing.

One, two. One, two.

Having the Chuckle Brothers on the Comedy World Cup may have been a nice touch to you. But to me [insert appropriate gag ending here]

Let the jingle descend...

You really must stop leaving the moosic running whilst you, presumably, find yourselves running to the 'facilities'.

News of Gaza inhabitants being shat on from a great height doesn't really need a 'comedy' soundtrack n'est ce pas?

Keep up the good work etc.
