How's your bike looking Withnail?
Not good i'm afraid - had an 'insult to injury' type affair recently, having had to fork out to keep the commuter on the road.

Am seriously thinking of splurging some savings to get the mtb going again but need to a) stop uming and ahing and make a decision, and b) go through the process of 'releasing' the saved fundage to make it so. It won't be very near future either way - probs Jan/Feb even if i do get my arse in gear.

Will likely keep the legs turning over with the commuter on the road/towpath/millenium-way etc over the winter, off and on, though. Bung some semi-slicks on yer vehicle if you fancy a bit of alternative leg stretching. :)

Have had other things vying for my dwindling money's attention of late. Definitely want to sort it before spring has sprung, though.

Will deffo give you a shout when arse re-engaged with gearing. :)

I went over to Coed Llandegla last week, completely destroyed me but a fantastic trail. I recommend it, only takes an hour and a half on the train... and then an hour and a half of uphill riding (against the wind) but it was worth it. If anyone's interested: train to crewe, train to chester, chester to wrexham, cycle pretty much 6 miles straight to the forest.

Anyway monthly bump to check if anyone is interested in a visit to the Chase.

Monthly bump!
Bike still out of action - sorry dude.

Now my 'commuter' is playing up again - in fact it tried to kill me a week or so ago - so i may have to see what the damage is on that front before i can get the MTB sorted. Which is all pretty annoying.

There must be someone else out there up for a ride, no?

condolences on the bike :-(
I've had a fairly bad run of oomska of late, coupled with lean finances.

A corner of sorts has been turned so i'm hoping that i can get both up and running in the not-too-distant - fingers crossed it'll be by the next monthly bump. :)

In the shop, being fixed...

Everything's coming up Millhouse!

I haven't been out on my bike for a while, I went out on the Chase at the end of April and my youthful arrogance on Tom, Dick and Harry got the better of me, fortunately I only[1] sprained my wrist and I was back to full health within a week, but my bike didn't fare so well and I've been busy recently so it's remained wounded. I'll take it over to Halfords on Monday and should be back in business mid next week. Maybe the good weather will inspire some others to join a forum outing.

[1] I have gained a weird bone like protrusion below my knee but it doesn't hurt and it's added character to my leg so I'm not counting that as an injury.

Tom's a reet fecker - Dick & Harry i found less so - this is probably the right way round.

If & when we (+ whoever) are back in the saddle, i'm hoping to get hold of a car so we can drive to Birches Valley and do the Donkey (Dog + Monkey) without undue interference.

This will be predicated on many things, so don't hold you're breath etc

Well haven't done any MTB stuff and post heart attack this year messing about on hybrid bike. Did Sustrans route 55 stafford to Newport today and back. Near 11 miles each way. Great easy track for someone who like me has limited ability.

Gonna suffer tomorrow as will the missus too.....
