Stafford: not for Grannies or 4x4 drivers, apparently

Not the official 2520th poster!
They should be made with 2 catalytic converters so when 90 year old southerners come "up norf", they have a spare one already with them!

I have nothing against Grannies
Never been to the Top of the World, then?..
No but I have been in the The Grapes.
I was drinking in the Spittle a couple of years ago and I was chatting to a guy from that London who was staying in the B&B bit upstairs.

He said he had been enjoying the week or so in Stafford and had spent the previous night in "that Star Wars bar in the town". Turned out he was comparing the Grapes clientle to those that were in the pub that Luke and Obi Wan go in to organise transport to Alderan.

disgusting, this is peoples property that they are wrecking! With all the "patrols" around stafford, cant see how people dont notice someone on the floor digging out their own gains! Bit like that poor kid in china that got run over! Nobodys bothered anymore!

It is bad that it has happened and you would be really annoyed.

The car being a write off is nonsense. The owner just got on a train home and couldn't be bothered by the sound of it. She could have driven it round the corner and had the exhaust place in reynolds centre fix it easily enough.

Whilst they are saying it was for the metal I suspect it may have been stolen by someone for that type of car perhaps. Otherwise lots of cars could have been targeted if it was purely for the cat as 99% of cars have them on the road. Possibly easier access on a car like that as it has higher suspension though.

Miss Red - someone on my facebook posted that China video the other day, but I have to say I declined to watch it as its not really me cup of tea. Didn't realise it was that wide spread unless we have a friend in common....

Could put a stop to this if all scrap dealers could only pay people by cheque or something similar. £1000 to replace mine.

It was on Sky News, so very widespread! Absolutely vile to be honest, I dont know what sort of human being could just walk past & ignore a toddler that had been run over but apparently some people in this world can. Made me literally feel sick.

Yeah I saw it on the news. It was the most sickening thing ive ever seen happen to a human (im an animal person as they dont judge).
But that was a child!!!!!
How anybody could do that, is beyond me!

As for the couple whos car was done over, maybe it was discovered at at time when the garages are shut! I certainly wouldnt hang around till they opened next morning or call a mobile mechanic out! If i lived that far away it would be the train for me too!

"the police said there was no way I could have driven it."

Can't drive without a cat.... wouldn't ever catch me doing anything like that :shifty:

Can see where you're coming from Shoes, but wouldn't go quite that far myself. They can be a bit mardy in the back. Does depend on the cat though - had one once that liked to lie across the driver's shoulders and stare at passing cars. Take a corner too fast and you'd know about it. But that's probably illegal these days.
