I'd really like to sign up for that, but don't particularly want to do it on-line - is there an off-line alternative?

Once up and running (wheels in motion) we will have other ways as, like yourself, there will be others who just want to fill in the standing order form.

Late comer to the party, (Always is! :ohno: Ed ) But as a 'Boro fanatic for 44 years, am very glad we are getting back to somewhere near the level we should be at. Was great to be at Coalville, though my nerves are shredded! We did it, congrats to the team and management.:bravo:

653 average attendance last season (3rd highest out of the 68 teams in the 3 Northern Premier Leagues, and more than the much vaunted Salfor City.) New lottery, Shed end replacement to start, (planning application currently being assessed!) Loads of houses going up (fan potential),
THE ONLY WAY IS UP  :stafford: :pint: (And one last  )

Two years on from the start of this thread and it is all still relevant. Foundations laid, first promotion achieved, looking forward with hope. And yes, I must be honest - I started the thread back in those dark days in 2014 as part of my role with the club and am still chipping away!
Plans are in place to bring the youth teams more involvement with the club and with that, more community involvement. Our next Shareholder's AGM is on 2nd June so we will see how the health of the club changed up to June last year.

We still look to bring in any volunteers at any level, sponsors or even help with the shed end development or fund raising projects.

Hello good people of Stafford!
I am posting this thread on the main area as this not just about sport, but is about the town's main football club and it's associated community.
The club has recently undergone some changes and now needs to prepare itself for a period of transition. With directors and staff leaving the club, action is needed to help the club through this period and raise funds to get us though to the Summer break as well as putting down foundations for next season with a new structure in place.

On Thursday 10th April a meeting was held at the football club between a selection of the club's fans, staff and directors to look at the way forward and try to re-establish a working structure.
While the club is positive about turning things around and has already sold a number of season tickets for next season and also received a fair amount of commercial interest for sponsors for next season, it is honestly acknowledged that the club needs to push on now and in the Summer with a number of financial restructuring exercises and fund raising activities.
With the club's final two home games against Ashton on Saturday 12th April (3.07 pm) and Bank Holiday Monday 21st against Nantwich at 3pm, plans are already being made for these days. Tomorrow fans are being urged to bring a friend or more to the game to increase the gate. While on Bank Holiday Monday a fun day is being planned around the game with social club events including bouncy castle, face painting and a barbecue, while under 16's can also get into the game free of charge. Raffles etc are also planned.
Stafford public will be encouraged to attend these days and also further Summer events to help strengthen the club during this period with events also planned around the upcoming FA Cup and World Cup matches.
The club is looking for match day volunteers, sponsors, social club bookings and long lost fans to return to the club.
For any offers of help please contact the club on 602430 or for any club bookings 602432.
Thanks for reading.
Up The Boro!

Today is D-Day for the Shed End Project. The council planning committee meets tonight and will vote on the scheme. Gary Cater will speak on behalf of the us and the club and we thank him for doing so.
This evening we will know if or when the scheme can go ahead. Something that will attract fans back to the club, upgrade the ground and generate some atmosphere.

Note - for anybody who saw the Express & Star article showing the scheme in a negative light - the figures were wrong, the figure quoted was the wrong height so hopefully the objection and article was not based on that or it won't look very good on somebody!

It took some doing but the plans have tonight been passed for the Shed End!

Another phase done, next phase - building it! The club lottery will be helping support the shed end pot for a few months so that's yet another reason to sign up!

The build up begins at Marston Road this Tuesday with our first friendly against a mixed Bolton Wanderers team. £5 adults, £3 concessions and £1 under16.
Various work has gone on around the club with the lotus suite refurb, a new toilet block to smarten up the lotus side of the ground and various touching up, plus new goalposts and nets. 6 new signings and counting, so some should be on view with a lot of the championship winning squad being retained.

The shed end has not yet been built as there have been numerous hold ups. A delay in planning due to a complainant not getting their facts right and hold ups with getting technical information off people who seemed to be rather elusive have all been part of a testing time.
WE SHALL OVERCOME!

Just resurrecting this thread as the season has taken off!

After another Summer rebuild the team took the first ten games to settle and we have now put a run together of 9 games unbeaten. This includes last night's FA Trophy replay win, at Marston Road in front of over 1,000 fans, against our local rivals Hednesford Town, after extra time.
The team is really settling down and some of the team celebration videos have gone viral!

Community-wise, the club has started to build links with the army and are also forging links with police. While a representative match for the police was postponed, the army have staged two games at the ground and various functions have held place in the club. This looks like continuing and some were even drafted in to help at last night's game.
While on the point of community links - This Friday evening we stage a charity game to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease sufferer Tom Stevenson and his Battlefund charity. A Rangers legend team including Robbie Mullin, Phil Robinson, Steve Hodge (Forest, Villa and England) , Wayne Daniel. Joey Handley and Kevin Street take on a Battlefund XI. Kick off is at 6.30 with admission at £3.
On the same night, Nick Hancock (yes, that one!) hosts a sports quiz night (max teams of six) in the club in aid of Katharine House. Tickets at £15 including fish supper and raffle ticket from Richard Davis on 07740 594036 or Nick Oldfield on 07976 342530.

Tuesday night against STiC' was a fantastic night, shared with over 1000 others, including my 2 sons and best mate!

Stafford had player sent off just before half time. A case of mistaken identity, a second yellow which there is no appeal for, despite being a video showing clearly the rangers player was lying injured having been fouled and not involved in the skirmish that ensued! :ohno: So for the Boro' to hold out till the last few minutes of normal time before conceding the equaliser was tremendous. Not only did they do that, but they actually had the best of the game, despite being down to 10 men!.. Rangers prevailed 2.1 :bravo:

A STiC's fans coverage of the incident!

A truly 'G R E A T N I G H T ' :stafford:

STiC = Small Town in Cannock. :heyhey:

We are seeking funding to build a new spectator shelter at Stafford Rangers Football Club. Known affectionately by the fans as the Shed End. The Shed End is our Kop. Currently the club has no covered areas behind either goal.
Stafford Rangers FC is a semi professional football club that currently plays in the Evo Stik Premier Division following our championship winning season last year.
The club has been in existence since 1876 and next season is celebrating it’s 140th year anniversary. As part of this celebration the club and fans are working in unison to improve spectator facilities at Stafford Rangers for the benefit of the whole community.
The new Shed End extends by 72m in length by 9m in depth. This is broadly the width of the football pitch. The shelter benefits from detailed planning permission and Building Control Approval will be submitted imminently.
The money that you generously give will be used to pay for the new Shed End and will be gratefully received. All of the money to date has been raised by the funds and has helped us to secure planning permission. Through the generous donations we have raised £10,000, however we now need another £80,000 in order to build it.
We would like to build the new Shed End in the close season in order that it is ready for our 140th season. The close season runs from the end of May to early August.
Stafford Rangers has an average home attendance of over 600 fans and we currently the 2nd best supported club in the division. Our highest attendance this season for a home game was over 1800 fans against our local rivals Hednesford Town FC.
In addition to 1st team games, the ground also hosts reserve team and academy sides; senior and youth team football tournaments and charity matches to support local worthwhile causes. As such, the improvements to the ground will not only benefit Stafford Rangers fans and away supporters, it will also benefit the wider community that regularly use the ground.

So, in short - are you somebody who pledged to join the 100 club, but still haven't paid in? Are you a local company with an interest in the club or community and want to see the club move forward? The club has an award winning social network team so any large involvement with the scheme will get a lot of coverage.
