Stafford shops opening - Turning into a boom town?

Really? Bit annoying, we're just about to move up to that end of town!
Well, their company is in a little trouble n it's seen profits dive again these last few months, but it'll be the whole lot vanishing rather than just the Stafford one. The say, being axed from all the homebase stores, (which is in too, an the verge of shutting shops) has hit them hard.

They say going forward, they want to use the name creating tea shops / cafés , and a hotel chain, but weirdly, they say the hotel chain, will showcase their products, not much use if they plan on culling their stores, but no doubt, they'll keep an online shop.

Enjoying a drop of red.

Laura Ashley have been struggling for a while and always there shop was in an odd location.

I would have thought they would have relocated to the new riverside complex.

On the basis they sell furniture and larger items I'd have thought they benefited from having dedicated parking spaces

I think it does require that people actually know they exist. I always overlooked that shop when I went into that car park, kinda just tuned it out.

Work happening in what was TGF Pizza opposite The Island - no idea what but I suspect it will remain a take away.

Work going on in the former vera fernall jewellery shop opposite bank of scotland.
I did know who was going in there, but I forgot!
Ah, that's the one I was going to look in today....noted the name on the window and promptly forgot by the time I got down the road !

Noticed lights on and work going on inside the old Pizza Italiano today, (or whatever it was called) a few doors down from Superdrug.

Also noticed the old 'Top Travel' premises facing it are still unoccupied....must have been about 30 odd years since we used to go in there and it closed up....never been occupied since!

Ordered from there once and it was dire. Took multiple rude calls and a shout at Just Eat to get a refund

The name on the window is just the contractor doing the works
