@Cue - we have been looking at Nabru too. How did you find the assembly - is it straightforward? What do you think about the quality?

It was quite a process but we got a pretty large sofa. Quality is fine, it’s sturdy and they do have videos of them being jump tested so I imagine they’d survive kids - and even if they didn’t you can find the bit of wood, pull it out and get a replacement anyway. It all just slots together.

Will they have to reinstate the cash machine for customers to pay their bills?

Park House are the Vets I use for my pooch. I have always been pleased with their service, but certainly judging by the amount I have passed across the desk, I can see how they are affording the refurb of the old bank! I am a tight wad, and she is my first dog, so I may be out of touch with the cost of veterinary services!

Basic things such as antibiotics usually cost me around £90 for the consultation and prescription.
on average every time i walk into a vets its around £100.

sounds a lot but if your pet needs to be referred to a specialist it can cost a lot more , my last bill for an MRI scan alone cost £2000

Exactly, I know in many cases the drugs don't actually cost that much...

We would potentially use them if they opened there. We current use vets 4 pets and whilst we don't have an issue, having somewhere in walking distance would be good.

Also a change would be good for our dog. It's clear that our ex racing greyhound has some historical trauma with vet people given her reaction to them trying to give an injection or kennel cough vaccination over the last year. She goes from relative dopey dog into the crazed birch from hell....

We've always used Park House and whilst they seem expensive the service is excellent and they don't charge for unnecessary treatment.

Do people not insure their pets?

Yes of course but some recurring conditions aren't covered after 12 months with the policy I have.

Yes, but the world of pet insurance had changed monumentally over the last 5 years... It's by no means straightforward

At least vets do not exploit people when their animal is ill.

£400 to X Ray a cat. There is no profit in that, surely.

Park House struck our elderly dog off purely through spite. I use the Island Vets for our latest dog now. I would never use Park House now.
