I drove into Stafford yesterday afternoon and didn't have any problems with queuing or parking for a change.

12 of us girls went into town tonight in 4 cars.

Some went down Radford Bank, others went A449.

None of us met any traffic at all and we were all at the restaurant 15 mins early.
Like the secret to good comedy, it's all aboutiming.
I went down Radford Bank around 10pm and there was some traffic. Dropped son off at the meadows and tried to get across to Silkmore Lane. The car blocking the junction must have clearly seen me approaching it, but still decided to sit nicely across  . Few minutes later I came back to the Lichfield Rd and was glad I had priority around the island ...queue back half way up Queensville Bridge, even at that time of night .

Came down our nice newly done stretch of the M6 yesterday afternoon, everything flowing lovely . So seems the Matrix board operator must have been bored and was having a play around with the buttons. All the way from Jcts 11-13 signs kept constantly changing from 70mph to '50mph Slow Down Pedestrians in Road', back to 70.. 50... 70..50...

Lotus lights are off - but, unfortunately, they've been replaced with a very disruptive four-way temporary set - avoid if at all possible.

This is all so that 'they' can rip up yet more of the pristine surface between Henry Street and Astonfields Road.

Enjoying a drop of red.

There is not and never has been any need to lights at that junction.

Standing traffic inbound on Sandon Road now, presumably due to the crazy lights and, equally presumably, similar queues outbound on the other side and on Astonfields Road.

Roadworks down Baswich lane *again*. They just can't leave alone can they.

On the way back to work I took a small detour near Weeping Cross Co-op and they were about to put some cones out there too.

I won't be visiting Stafford again this week if this is the case.

There's crew doing some gas repairs close to the double roundabouts in Baswich Lane, hopefully they'll have finished by 5.30.

The roadworks on Lynton Avenue are there until 4th March apparently. More water works.

Given the sheer volume of drivers using these roads to avoid Radford Bank you just can't go anywhere at the moment without hitting some sort of traffic problem. I'm still recovering from flu and the weather is shite, so using the bike isn't an option at the moment.

In order to avoid the Lotus temporary lights chaos, I decided to try Portal Road as an access to Corporation Street, but they had spotted the potential gap in the defensive ring and acted to virtually block Tithe Barn Road, Cambridge Street and Prospect Road.
