Wow you have absolutely no sympathy for anyone except yourself.
Here you are @kyoto49 this could be the answer:
Drivers find no entry signs at both ends of residential road
As I was part of the funeral cortège, I wasn’t travelling above 15mph so none of your greviances apply. No! I have sympathy for the lady 4 doors down who no longer feels safe to park outside her own house because the volume of cars. The speed they are travelling and the moronic way they are driven means she doesn't feel safe to open her car door long enough to get her toddler out of the car seat or put him in before getting abuse from the aggressive drivers she is holding up. She now parks in another road and carries her son home or to her car. Thats who i feel sorry for!
I feel sorry for my other friend whose kids would usually be out cycling and rollerblading outside their house over half term but who are now stuck in the house because of the sheer volume and speed of all the vehicles. Cars, vans and lorries all being driven by inconsiderate and selfish dickheads who don't care a jot about these kids or their parents only their own selfish wants.
I feel sorry for all of the people in my street who have to put up with the constant revving of engines as vehicles accelerate up to the speed ramps, slam on their brakes, hit the ramp too hard and then smash the front of their car on the tarmac, and then repeat this as they approach every speed bump 24 hours a day.
I feel sorry for the kids at Tillington Manor school where the problem of racing rat runners is so bad that the Head is so worried about the primary school children getting seriously hurt he has spoken to the police.
I care about those whose car has already been damaged
Do I need to go on.
The inconsiderate and selfish use of Alliance Street as a cut through to save yourself a few hundreds metres has caused all of these issues directly. So its you who doesnt give a toss about others. Not me.
Google Traffic suggests tomorrow.does anyone know when worston bridge will be open ?

I am staggered that you won’t even ‘allow’ a funeral cortège to use a road to travel to a cemetery to lay the deceased to rest.
Whilst I have sympathy with the issues you raise, you really don’t do yourself any favours with your sanctimonious attitude.
I am sorry for your loss.
I don't think people realise what significantly negative impacts this is having on the residents lives and for months and months as well, and all could be avoided by drivers using a more suitable road a few hundreds meters away. It's not like traffic needs to go miles to find a suitable diversion.
Sanctimonious? No. Thoroughly pissed off? Absolutely! As another car races past, slams on its brakes and slams it's front end on to the tarmac shaking the house ;(
A few hundred metres... according to Google Earth, Alliance Street is 318 metres long, to get from one end of Alliance Street to the other using Holmcroft Road it is just under 1500 metres.
Think I'll try it later.I drove down Alliance Street today and I'm not a resident...
I'm usually cynical but this guy has done consistently good things since he was elected. Like!
Highly overrated if you ask me, I couldn't get above 55 due to kids playing football in the street. Got decent air off one of the take off ramps though.Think I'll try it later.

I long for the day when footpath parking becomes a specific offence outside London.i use Alliance street ** to walk my dog around the churchyard on Eccy road.
I usually have to walk in the middle of the road as the cars block off most of the pavements .
Damned inconsiderate residents , cant they park in the town ?
(** its not my street )
