No! I have sympathy for the lady 4 doors down who no longer feels safe to park outside her own house because the volume of cars. The speed they are travelling and the moronic way they are driven means she doesn't feel safe to open her car door long enough to get her toddler out of the car seat or put him in before getting abuse from the aggressive drivers she is holding up. She now parks in another road and carries her son home or to her car. Thats who i feel sorry for!
So a few hundred metres. It's about 3 minutes extra on your journey.
I bet the residents of Holmcroft road just love you as you inconsiderately speed down their road & over the speed bumps so you can get from one end of Alliance Street to the other via Holmcroft Road in 3minutes. Of course, there isn't as many parked cars along that route. Most of the residents have the common sense to park on their drives. So a few hundred metres. It's about 3 minutes extra on your journey.

We have 2 neighbours who both have the largest driveways in the road, which could easily fit 5 cars on. They remain empty whilst they block the road up with their cars and vans parked along the road instead. Just can't see the logic in it! Makes it difficult for others to get out of their driveways , and more of a breath holding journey down the road in ice and snow with only inches to spare to hopefully avoid skidding into them. An old couple by us had to call an ambulance , which had to a park further up the road as it couldn't park outside their house with all the other neighbours cars left there. Had to carry the man on a stretcher quite a way along the pavement to get him in the ambulanceI wouldn't bank on it .
Most can't be arsed and the rest couldn't park in the drive even if it was the size of a football pitch.

I drove down/up Alliance street today, just because I can, and because every bugger and his neighbour are still driving up and down the Doxey road.
You watch, that'll be the next thing, the goverment will have us paying a toll to drive on individual roads. Oh look! They do! It's called Road Tax!
I'd rather drive on the pavement, such fun! You should see everyone scatter! xCan you drive on Streets as well?
Ireland does have this sign -It is theoretically possible for a street to be designated as a Play Street and I did once see one in the 1960s, but Street View confirms that it is not so designated now.
Beatrice Street in Bootle does still have part of its length designated as a Play Street currently, I understand.
Doesn't sound good10:55PM Just got turned back at St Thomas's Lane /Baswich Lane? Blue light activity between the bridges? An Ambulance completely blocking the road.

A fitting tribute to motoring fuckwittery. The middle bridge now has matching holes on both sides
I've heard a couple of people say this morning that Eccleshall Road will be open next week (Stone Road will be shut). Is this correct?
Possibly. Eccleshall Rd is actually open at the moment just not Northbound from Greyfriars. I recommend cutting through via Alliance St
