Decided against having the cladding done, they sent me a cheque last week, refunding the deposit - bounced back from my bank today, Just rang up and told an official announcment later today, but yes into receivership! So I guess I can kiss my deposit goodbye. They must have known this when they sent me the cheque

I think Stafford aluminium was the original name ?

Run window business tired of these phoenix companies giving industy bad name, in 4th decade of trading, dont want to sound like advert but willing to help anyone who has had issues with this company

Oddly I don't think these are a phoenix company as they have been around some years.

Such a shame, explains why they were closed when we went to see if they did replacement handles :(

Many thanks to the people who said nice things about Target Windows. We try but sometimes we dont always get it right. On to the message about rising from the ashes, I agree totally after Supercraft did exactly the same this time last year, went into administration and started up a couple of days later. We have been trading for nearly 30yrs and have struggled just like everyone else, and not having to pay for warranty work would save me a fortune, but I am proud of our family business and what we have acheived and that would just not sit right with me or any member of our family who have put a lot a time and effort in running Target.

If anybody has been left in the lurch or you have a relevant quote from Stafford and would like to proceed please bring it to us and we will gladly have a look at it for you. Please see our website www.targetwindows.co.uk if you would like any more information.

Lets see in few days, Stafford upvc was actually a non trading part.....why?
It is not unusual for a company to be non trading....sometimes a company is set up and registered to prevent any on else from trading under that name. It could be for a host of reasons and all of them legitiimate but I think that is the business of the owners and no one elses

fatfrog is right, it isn't unusual for a company to be non trading. We have two limited companies, one is trading, the other is dormant, but it protects us from anyone else using that name - and we may choose to trade through that company in the future - it gives us options. It is more common than people think.

What time did you receive this message? That user was banned at approximately 21:30 last night, so if it was after then then I need to re-examine the permissions, as he shouldn't have been able to send private messages!
