Agree, horrible vision of traffic using the Lichfield & Wolverhampton Rd's, but wanting to avoid the town centre, using Silkmore Lane, and then West Way, to get onto the New Road, leading to a big increase in traffic, on a very busy estate (Over used, imho) road, that is rendered 1 lane, due to legally parked vehicles! Recipe for disaster. As you say, hope I am wrong, and being over pessimistic. ( As usual, Ed )

I would hope that some of the land that saint gobain was on can be reused for manufacturing/ industrial use. If we want to quicken journeys to work we need workplaces to remain near where people live.

Think so, just to justify the continuous noise invasion you are suffering just now.

I have Superbike immune ear plugs if that would help.

I've never used them and I only picked them up for a "grumpy" fellow BSB fan when said fan, @tek-monkey and I stayed in a rock pub in Chester for the recent Oulton Park triple header, honest :)

I do have witnesses as well :)

Only four hundred and thirty houses though

More of a large cul de sac then anything else

one road in, same road out

Don't worry though, the planning committee are bound to have stipulated that everyone must retain a front lawn to help prevent flooding

    Won't they?

I'm sure @gilbert grape will be holding the appropriate high-power conversations to ensure they do.

How long, once it's been finished, do you think they'll be digging it up again?
