There are many more to come with entire sections being outsourced to external providers - plenty of cabinet papers visible in public domain around the back office services.
Time will tell if it saves money or not in the long run, but the number of staff actually employed in Staffordshire is dropping massively as work moves to Birmingham, Kent, Sheffield and possibly Japan...
I'm waiting to be told that I'm formally at risk so redundancy consultation can begin, along with many more staff, with lots already in the camp.
The external consultants will keep the services running, so no worries.
