Perhaps the magazine's apostrophe has fallen off?
Interesting that that is above the Daily Mail's "Return of the O-Level" headline..
What amazes me with all these apostrophes is why don't the sign writers pick them up? Or the installation people? Or the management and staff of the shops?
Working in retail numbs your brain, you become desensitised to your environment. Well, when working at sainsbury's I did, anyway.
As for the rest - no idea. Perhaps they just think **** it, get this sign up, get paid and FO.
As for signwriters - they probably think sod it, they signed off the proof so when they realise we can just charge them for a new sign.
but then that would get you no attention's
no free add's'
Because they get paid per character perhaps? Could it be a conspiracy?
Just for a laugh, I've just googled "Prince Charle's" - there's a surprising amount of hits...
It seems that sign-writers really will do just what you tell them to - and even then not spell it right.
And not just sign-writers, it seems.
I always knew the royal mail was a bit shit
Some schools can be a bit tough these days..
How do you spell MOT?
And plaque-makers - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-suffolk-19366423 .
Think the ref was getting a bit too friendly during the Liverpool v Man City match today.
